I had seen a dog running around a friend's apartment complex. Well one night when I was over there I found her huddled by the door. It was really cold. I checked for tags but she didn't even have a collar on. I took her home, fed her and gave her a warm place to sleep. Poor thing was starving. Well I asked around the apartments but no one know her. Then yesterday I took her with me to my friends. As we were walking to the door, two young girls ran up yelling thats our dog. Before I could say anything thier dad walked out. The girls started yelling "Dad look it's Princess." Anyway to make a long story short the dad said that they had givin her away but he couldn't remember the name or even when they did it. I thought it was strange that he remembered every little detail about her but couldn't remember who she was givin to. The oldest girls piped up "It was last week, Dad." He tried to hush her up. I have had the dog for about four days.
What do you think?

It sounds very suspicious. There's something else going on. Maybe it was their dog and they dumped her.

I think you should take it to the shelter. That dad isn't going to take him back and you've got too much else going on to be taking in another stray.

Agreed. And I wouldn't want the Dad to take him back even if he would.

I thought the same thing. She is still with me. We are calling her Sara. She 's really a sweet natured dog and well trained except go lay down. We're having problems with that one. I got lucky she loves both kids and cats. She lets one of my kittens chew on her tail to his hearts content. I will be looking for a home for her. We just may keep her but I'm going to look real hard for a home else where before we decide. With the new baby on the way last thing I need is a new pet, but I really really like her!:D

Okay good.

Whatever you do, dont be convinced to give the dog back to these people.

If you cant keep her, find her a good home.

Good luck finding her a home. You have enough to do right now without adding to it. WAS a good thing you found her when you did.

I couldn't leave her out there it was 21 degrees that night. She kinda reminds me of Chewie and Angel just alot smarter.

SHe was so freaking obese i am sure that had something to do with it. SHe looked more like a hog then a dog. I feel sorry for the owner now he is alone now that his mother has passed. THe dog was the only company he had. I am glad he didnt' get another tho, her only exercise was on a 12 ft chain when he let her out. THat combined with the extra 40 or so pounds she was carrying i am sure led to her death.
