I use a slicker brush on my sheps and a "shedding blade" during shedding season. I am interested into looking into that one made by kong though

zoomgroom works great on my lab's shedding. I brush her 3 times a day for about 10-15 minutes and her shedding has reduced considerably. Labs do tend to shed a lot though, atleast from what I have heard and through my experience.

I use a zoom groom, a shedding blade and a "furminator". They all have their different strengths and weaknesses but all together they get the job done. :)
