What type of treat do you feed your dog?

I used to have them on biscuits from Blue Buffalo and then over to Dogswell VeggieLife line (Chicken & Banana, Chicken & Apple and etc).

But recently I found a company which makes an all natural treat in the US and not from China. The company is Puritydog and I purchased their Turkey and Sweet Potato. Thus far, my dogs are crazy over it. They're doing tricks without any hesitation for these treats. Just the sound of the bag alone gets their ears perked up, eyes wide open and tails wagging.

I feed junky treats for the most part. He eats a nice high quality food. I eat good meals, but ejoy junk as well. Somtimes for training i even just use his dog food lol. I feed junk he loves and will bend over back wards for so he wants to do a trick or training even more. I use snausages, beggin strips, hot dogs, veggies too. I even got a free 5lbs bag of ceaser dry dog food, works as a great training treat as well.

I feed a variety of treats... everyday cookies are Sojo's Grain-free biscuits, Mother Nature biscuits, or Plato Duck or Salmon strips. For training, it ranges from Zuke's Mini Naturals, Natural Balance soft rolls, Yummy Chummies; to hotdogs, cheese, and cheetos.

I do feel that treats don't HAVE TO be super nutritious, but because I can feed up to a full meal's worth of treats depending on if we have class or practice or whatev, I tend to stay away from cheap treats. Gonzo's allergies (nothing specific, he's just sensitive to dyes and cheap fillers) will act up quickly after too many yucky treats.

I give Dogswell vitality. Its chicken breast strips with flaxseed. I break them into pieces and put them in the treat container. They last a lot longer and are great for training.

I use cheap cut up boiled chicken. I get those bags from the grocery store of "parts" (hey, parts is parts, hehe) and cut them up while still a little frozen then boil the living crap out of it with some garlic.

Booda Bones and Beefeaters Vita Stix are some treats that any dog will surely love. Specially Booda Bones coz it comes with a variety of flavor..

For training treats I slice a hot dog into penny thin slices, then microwave them on paper towels until they are like jerky, blot the grease off, then put them in a baggie with a dab of melted butter and a pinch of powdered garlic.

It works really well to get a sight hound's attention, and makes your fingers nice and stinky so they follow every motion your hand makes.:rofl1: Very useful for training hand signals. He will do ANYTHING for them.

For everyday food treats, we just share tablescraps. Aurelia is refusing to eat egg yolks lately so I toss them to Strider. He loves it.
