I think what the vet said was Mary had anerobic (sp?) poisoning. THe process of decomposing without oxygen created a neurotoxin.

Final story.
My neighbor once called me and said YOUR DOG JUST SH!T A TENNIS BALL..I SAW IT POP RIGHT OUT OF HIM! i ran out and sure enough there it was. Complete and whole. He was a mighty big dog.
