We have 2 strings of broken Christmas lights. What should we do with them? I know I have seen in the past some places that recycle them but can't remember where.

Are they broken, or is there just a broken bulb? Some strings have it so if one bulb goes out, they all go out.

As far as what to do with them... pretty sure we always threw them out in the garbage LOL

Home Depot or Lowes has a recycling thing right now. You $5 towards new light also. I don't remember which store it is though.

If you don't have a local recycler, I have posted strings on freecycle before. Usually get a response in a day or so and get them picked up. Some folks either want to tinker and make them work or they harvest the bulbs.
