Um. Has anyone ever considered feeding their dog worms? I have no idea of nutritional(or how palatable) they might be, but I saw some for sale in bulk on Craigslist. ...Pound of worms?

..hahah, I know how silly that sounds, but I would like to hear a discussion about it. Or just could just reply with "No", and I would understand, too. :p

If they had some nutritional value... why not? Maybe not as a staple but on the odd ocassion, you know - variety is the spice of life and all that.

Imagine using them as training treats...

Now I'd like to know the nutritional value in worms. :D

Um...that is probably the weirdest raw question as of yet LOL

I think I would try and dry them and use them as treats....just the first thought that came to my mind because I don't think our dogs would eat them live. Unless they come dry :)

Heheh, I know! I thought about it for a little while first, then I realized how weird it was, hahah. But, some people imagine feeding raw is "weird enough", so why not push it! :p

I don't know. I really wouldn't have thought of it.

But, I have eaten fried worms before, and they're actually REALLY good. They were BBQ flavor, and just tasted like BBQ flavored popcorn. Om nom nom xD

I've heard they can offer some proteins and do have a bit of nutritional value.
If your dog likes it I don't see why not.

Heheh, worm pranks.

Yeah, it made me chuckle thinking about it, my line of thought was something like.. Raw food possibilities for Hap', Craigslist, farm and garden section, beef.. goat.. chickens.. WORMS, GREAT DEAL!.. oh yeah, there are stories about people eating worms in desperation or in different cultures.. and they are a valuable source of protein.. dogs need protein! ...feed dogs worms. :p I guess I just like to be resourceful, thinkin' outside that box and all
:D
