What a lovely little grrrl!
I'll warn you, though -- they tend to live up to their names
Just remember to keep an eye out. I'm not trying to belittle your experience or make any assumptions- I've just known people to assume their adult APBT is not DA because it hasn't shown any signs- and then things can get very, very ugly. DA is not something that can be eliminated because the dog has a good owner. It's instinct and genetics.
Okay, enough of the "lecturing." She's adorable and I wish you many happy years with her. I hope you can get her home with you soon.
Yup. I can attest to that. Tallulah was fine with everything (except cats), even to the point of giving Kharma plenty of respect and being very obedient to Kharma and Bimmer both . . . and then . . . at about two and a half . . . BAM. I have a full-out, won't back down from a legion of demons OR the resident Fila even if it kills me, no reverse gear APBT, which I kind of expected, given where I live and where I suspect she's from, lol. Breaking up a fight between a 150 lb Fila and a 55 lb APBT is no picnic, especially when one is determined the other is going to submit and the other one would rather die than do that.
So yes, never, ever assume things are going to stay as they are. Hope they do, but don't take anything for granted. Since you're an only dog household (right now) it shouldn't be a big deal though.
