What a disgusting food. At least it will give people (who don't know much about food yet) another reason to stop feeding it.

The problem with all of these recalls, though, is that even the good foods are involved. So these people who feed crap foods think that all of the foods are bad, and won't bother switching. I bet these Ol' Roy feeders will either continue feeding the tainted food, or switch to Pedigree temporarily.

I know people who feed it. And complain about how much it costs.

Yes, you just read that.

I honestly think their dog would be better off dead than with them.

I don't know why, but I was under the impression that dogs were NOT affected by Salmonella.............I mean, people feed RAW chicken etc....(I have even given it to my dogs a couple of times)...to their dogs. Is there a different strain, or something like that??

NOT comparing raw ANYTHING to OLE ROY!! :yikes: Just curious about a salmonella recall on dog food :)

Sheesh they ought to have a recall just because it is crap in a sack.
I don't feed raw because I see that warning on many things pertaining to pet food. My vet says they can and do get it.
Back on subject though. Do people really feed that crap now a days ?

Wow. Another recall? I just begged my gf not to feed ol' roy to our APBT after reading about the 1st recall. Her brother left 1/2 a bag of ol roy when he visited. Whew.

Thanks for the info and I am going to pass this info to baby bro and save his dalmation.

PS - We were just at the vet and we discussed raw feeding. The Vet's opinion is dogs could get salmonella.
