Awww, poor baby! I hope Virgo's on the road to recovery. That's super frightening. Ditto to what Mom of 7 said...thank God you caught it in time! I'll be watching for an update.

OMG!!! How scary. I'm so glad you caught that in time. Oh geesh, too much all at once on your plate. You need a month of boring times. Glad things will be OK.

Oh no, I'm so glad your mom quickly saw what Virgo had gotten into and was off to the e-vet! I hope she feels better soon!

So far things are fine this morning, if you ignore the fact that she is STARVING...which was part of the reason she got into the poison in the first place...aye yi yi...but she took all her medication with a minimum of fuss (the carafate (for diahrrea) has to be mixed into a slurry and squirted into her mouth and after the charcoal experience last night, she was less than excited to have something else squirted in her mouth).

It looks like she's going to keep her breakfast down, so I'm going to go give her a full scoop of food now, then another half scoop with her afternoon dose and then a scoop and a half at dinner. I needed to fatten my poor girl up anyway.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that things seem to be looking up. I will keep checking back for progress reports. Give her a big gentle hug for me. ;)

Bless you for getting through so many scary times all in a row!! I had such an ache when I was reading through the posts---I finally had to jump ahead a bit in hopes of finding that Virgo is OK---whew! I'm so relieved that she's recovering from it all. I also hope that your leg doesn't bother you for long!

Thanks! My leg was just bothering me because of work that day (too much quick pivoting while squeegying).

Today she is acting fine, no more "is this edible?" excursions. I was brushing her a few minutes ago though and noticed a bunch of red bumps around her back thighs. This I recognize as hives, because Sawyer just had them, so she got some Benadryl tonight as well.

She is on more pills right now than Jimmy Carter. :p
