At least you know that means you will get unconditional love. Puppy love is the best. You know, come to think of it, they should not call it "puppy love" when you have a crush on someone because true puppy love is the sweetest, most unconditional love there is. I may be getting too deep here, sorry about that. ;)

My valentines this year is going to be depressing! My kids are out of their own now so no more Valentine man, and my husband is on a business trip in KY, the town he was going to I didnt have any luck finding a pet friendly motel in our price range so I stayed home. He wont be home until Tues. So its just me, the cat, and Princess. We'll just go put a sappy movie on.

Normally, Tony and I don't do anything but this year we teamed up with good friends of ours and going out to eat at an awesome resturaunt (prime rib specialty!). The resturaunt itself is a Boxcar from an old train. Really cool. Then that is going to be followed by a party at our local American Legion and we've entered into a makeshift Newlywed Game. Should be interesting.
BigDog, what's the name of the restaurant, what town is it in. I'm always looking for a good place to eat. I live in Connecticut. Thanks Barb

Carl always tells me that we should be good to each other every day of the year, not just on special days. I do agree, but I do like to feel extra special on certain days. I bought him a box of chocolates which I know I will probably eat most of anyway. At least I'll get the candy I like.

I've read and enjoyed all of your posts. Funny, as I thought my Tom was the only one who couldn't "woo" on Valentines Day ! He died 3 years ago the 20th after 49 1/2 yrs of marriage. He used to give me $$$$ and say " go buy us some lamb chops, sweetie, lets splurge tonight !"This year I got nice cards for my son and 2 daughters, 2 grandsons, and of course my grand-dogs !!! I may even buy myself a lamb chop..(baked potato with LOTS of butter-asparagus-mint jelly-and small greens with vinegret dressing ) -- wine and cherry cordial for dessert. Then on to bed to cuddle in with my now favorite beautiful blond partner...."Chip" !

Same here Bogo im definately the romantic one in all my relationships. My mum and sister actually call me a hopeless Romantic because im constantly wanting to fall in love and unfortunatly never do lol. Im thinking my valentines day will be spent like any other day maybe make a movie evening out of it and watch them with my dogs lol. Unless Charlie (the old friend im getting "involved" with) happens to call or something. But yeah most likely i will spend my day with my pack of Valentine pups.
WATCH OUT FOR THOSE CHARLEYS! LOL!

I was just going to loan Charley a movie I had taped (Prospero's Books) and he just took it upon himself to tell me that I would be watching it with him, turning an innocent offer of the loan of a tape into something entirely different than what I had in mind!

The rest is history . . .
