Okay Carseland people, the police are cruising around town this morning because the new people on Nelson Rd lost one of their pet bloodhounds last night. Some arsepick chained the poor pet to the railroad tracks and the inevitable happened. Somebody must have seen this person walking a dog near the tracks. Speak up. Call police. This is just disgusting.
This was posted on facebook this morning. I feel horrible now! The bloodhounds were loose yesterday, but some of the kids in town were walking around with them looking for their owners, so I left it at that. Later one came and asked for help because she had them in her yard and didn't know what to do with them (she wasn't allowed to bring them inside her house and it was getting dark). So I did some more asking and found out what house they belonged to, and took some leashes to get them and bring them home, or back here if nobody was there (sadly there have been times I've had a loose/strange dog here for hours, and the owners are watching TV at home assuming the dog will call for a ride). The dogs had gotten out of her yard, so we did some looking but didn't see them and nobody was home at their house, so I came back and just told her if she found them again to come get me and I'd take them in. Then this morning that was on facebook. Kicking myself! But from now on any loose dog is coming in and staying safe. Hope they find the sicko.
