Pick another car (go up a trim level, for instance, as you might have extra features but you'll probably get the ones you want), pick second choice in color, or get it shipped in. Or, find the car at a dealer outside the state or region, put down a deposit, pick it up on a weekend. They'll probably match your numbers from the close by one. Heck, ask Zoom if she has one.
We've got five of the biggest Subie dealerships in the state, so if it exists, it's here. See? Problems get solved in this thread. :rofl1:
I hope that salesguy is exaggerating. A special order at Mazda takes only 3 months, start to finish. At Audi it took 90 days unless it was a limited allocation model, in which case it was 120+ and we could calculate the exact timing based on our allocation and our orders. On a 13 to 14 MY switch, we did have a Q7 get delayed an extra 60 days - the new owner got a massive discount and a 14 instead of a 13, though.
My vent: I'm on facebook again. I hate facebook so much. It's awful and addicting. But it's convenient and there are several people I'm tired of not talking to. Mostly one. But still. Facebook. (I sent her a message saying "Guess how much I love you? Enough to get back on facebook after 3+ years.")
