Mostly I use it to call people.

Y'know. Like a phone.

;)
Ha ha I know, I know not everyone likes or needs a smartphone. I was just kidding :D

My vent is kinda TMI ... What IS it about two women fighting that men find such a turn on? You see examples of this "hot button" everywhere in movies and TV but I don't see the allure. I mean, two MEN fighting doesn't turn me on.

I view my smart phone as a very mini-laptop. I was given a tablet as a gift and I was all like, "Um....this is just like my phone, only bigger...?" Luckily, DH is getting use out of it because I was contemplating selling it. DH gave me his old laptop to use should I need it, as he had bought a new one during A-school and I actually prefer to use my phone, because it is about the same speed, if not faster. LOL

The GPS/map feature is also amazing. I hate driving when I don't know where I'm going, and having an interactive map really eases my anxiety. (And yes...I do know how to navigate with an atlas/map, and have done so on numerous occasions. My phone is just WAY easier and so much more convenient.)
Yeah I have no problem with other people enjoying their phones, but I love my computer.

I don't really drive places without looking up the directions in advance. I can see how the GPS could be really helpful, but all of my experiences with GPS have made me more anxious! I def. don't begrudge other people their smartphones, though--it's just not for me.

Every time I procrastinate, I hate myself.

and every time I procrastinate and still get things done the last **** minute and still get a good grade, I know it encourages me and I know I'll do it again.

THAT IS MY WHOLE LIFE.

I have a chapter to read/take notes on. It's due tomorrow morning.

I'm going to do it tomorrow morning because that's what I did last week and I got it in on time.

STOP.

Tonight sucks. Peeps were grumpy at work, come home to a dog with hives the size of planets, dog threw up a lot, parents hate me and want to get rid of dog so were no help, had to have a co-worker drive me to the emergency vet (and Roxie threw up in her car), and it goes on even more.

Get home from vet ages later, and the dog bed I threw in the dryer (cuz my first thought was to get rid of all allergens) busted open. What in the hell, life?

I'm gonna have to get allergy injections for both me AND Roxie. I mean, if we ever have any hope of doing things we love, we are gonna somehow get to the point where a hot e vet guy is not gonna shoot my dog up with steroids. And I'd also like to live without breaking out in hives as well.

Eff you, allergens. Stupid pollen. Also, punch me if I ever get another allergy dog. Me having horrific allergies is enough. Both Roxie and me having horrific allergies is just not cool, Robert Frost. Stupid allergens. Go away and let us live.

Roommates alarm woke me up at 6. I was planning on sleeping until 7-7:30 so I could get 8 hours. It woke me up way too early at the worst part of my sleep cycle. **** this ****.

I feel exhausted and awful now. I'm cold and miserable and I just want to go back to sleep.

Well it looks like this dream summer job has fallen through.

He seemed so excited to meet me, and everything was awesome but I couldn't come up to his place until I finished exams. He said that was totally fine and that Easter was a busy week for him anyways.

I told him I would text him with my schedule on Thursdays. Sent one last week, no response - but he did say it was a busy week so I didn't think too much of it.

Sent one today saying my exams were done and I could come up any time. No response. Sent an email just to be sure, and no response.

WHY CANT HE JUST TELL ME THAT HE'S FOUND ANOTHER PERSON TO WORK?!? I just want closure *sobs*

You and me both. I was told "I'll have an answer for you later this week." It's later this week, and nothing. I'm going to send a polite email tomorrow...*sigh* Really wanted this job.

On the bright side, three other clinics in the area just posted job ads and I just applied for one and will go by in person on Monday to apply for the other. On the downside, it will mean a 30 minute commute. *sigh*

Ugh gah work today. Just ughhhhh.

Why do they always make it super quiet all week then everyone wants 3555509098 things done on friday before I leave? And why do people show up at my office at 3:30, which is 30 mins before I leave, to ask for a bunch of stuff?

I am in a bad mood. Not so much a bad mood as a mild depressed grumpy mood? And I don't mind that I'm in the mood, I just mind that everyone else minds I'm in a bad mood.

Just let me be grumpy in peace. I want to be grumpy. Go away. Sorry I can't be a ray of sunshine when you snap your fingers and want me to be.

I have a ridiculous looking eye infection. No one likes pus on their eye!!

To top off my day, three studs flew off of Brooks' Paco collar when he scratched. I am clearly cursed :(

My plates expire on the 28th of this month. I didn't realize it until earlier this week when Michael pointed it out to me. So went and got my tax exemption form from legal, then stopped by the tax office to renew them...and apparently, because my father cosigned on the car for me and in turn is on the title, he has to be present for me to renew my plates OR give me power of attorney over the car.

Um. My dad is 900 miles away, thank you very much.

So now we're trying to figure out paperwork and how to get it down here to me in time so I'm not driving around with expired plates. Lovely.

Stupid state. I don't know why they need him. I was able to *purchase* a plate for the car in Indiana without him being present, I don't know why they need his authority to get the dang thing renewed. UGH.

My phone is like a mini laptop too, in fact, the only time I get on my laptop is to work on my fan fiction, manage my dragons on my dragon game, or watch streaming video of racing lol. Other then that I am on my phone ... Who is why I want another one.

Bought a new shirt. Have worn it twice and it is gone. Just not anywhere to be found. I tore the house apart. Only thing I can think of is it made it into the garbage somehow but its a fairly big sweater so not sure how I'd manage that. I'm literally going nuts over this.

Even checked to see if washer ate it or it fell behind it. Grrrrr.

Ugh, Rolex is on. So sick of hearing people singing their praises to these riders. The horse world as a whole is just completely messed up; if the dogs competing in agility and obedience showed as many stress signals as the horses competing in show jumping and dressage, people would be raising a fuss. At least dog people can usually identify that their dog is stressed; horse people just view it as standard behavior and do nothing to address the issue.

A horse constantly swishing its tail and throwing its head and fighting with the rider is not, as the commentators like to say, "loving its job" and "working in perfect harmony with the rider". Back to Horse Body Language 101, foks.

I lost Tulip on the 3rd to a pituitary tumor.
I found Peony dead in the cage after work yesterday.
I put Esther to sleep today because of a massive tumor.

Thanks guys. They are hard. I'm not getting any more rats of my own for a good while. A friend of mine just opened a pocket pet rescue and I'm going to foster for them (I am getting three boys in the next couple days). I just can't do the keeping and losing part again for a while.
