The Bears are who we thought they were, or something
I think they made a big mistake signing Cutler. he has a strong arm and a bad mind for the game. Too many lapses and does not have the greatness to make up for it.
With those receivers and TE and Forte that offense should score 30+ a game. But turnovers and bad decisions and they don't help out their defense very much. Losing Tillman didn't help either. That guy was one of the best in terms of talent, leadership and just a human being of the highest quality. I would have taken him on my team any day.
But it does bring me great joy to see Bears fans suffering so much
I'm kidding, kind of.
Green Bay is my team and they're doing about what I expected. They always start slow on offense, though I am still disappointed in their Oline. Very inconsistent and struggle with speed rushers. When they are ok, the offense is unstoppable, when they are bad, well it's makes everyone else's job more difficult. I don't think there is a better QB playing right now than Rodgers. Give him 3 seconds before having to run for his life and he'll score a TD almost every possession. When he's running before he can even get to his drop point because of pressure, it make sit more difficult.
The defense is starting to come around, which I figured would take a bit of time. New players again and a slight change in philosophy, so guys were learning, plus we had some injuries to start the year and now the new guys have some experience and are playing better.
I'm excited for the rest of the year, but the season isn't even half over yet and it's a long season. A lot can happen, but our arrow is pointing up, so that's good heading into late October and November.
