How long have you been seeing this therapist? Odds are, s/he already knows or has an idea of your depression. I do not know you or your situation, but if that is what you are worried about, I hope this helps! If it is just admitting it out loud, you could try saying it when no one is in the room, or tell a close friend first if you feel more comfortable with them than your therapist.

Either way it can be very nerve-wrecking telling someone. Warm thoughts your way!

Feel free to PM me anytime!

Sorry for such a late reply. I've been super busy this weekend,& haven't had the time to come Chaz.

Almost four years, which actually surpised me... It's actually been that long. But, even now, I haven't "clicked with her". Thing is, she is through my parents insurance, so... I can't do much.

It could definitely be possible, but, she hasn't metioned(or asked) if I'm depressed, or something else along those lines. I've metioned my Depression to friend. However, I only went into minor details.

Thanks for caring, I trully appericate it!

Oh, as someone who is going to school to become a therapist, and just being completely honest- not therapy like with you, I would say that 1. It is important for you to "click" with your therapist as far as overcoming your depression quicker. However, sharing that you are depressed and feel like you can disclose everything to her may help you click with her. 2. I would still say she probably suspects you are depressed (also if you are going through insurance, she is required to diagnose you with something, odds are that may be depression- but I don't know you so maybe not) and that therapists are going to have different styles/approaches. She probably is trying to be patient and empower you to be able to share such a big part of your life with her.

So you could try finding other therapists that you find a connection/click with that are covered under your parents insurance (many therapists will offer free first consultation, for this very reason) or disclose your depression to your current therapist, which will probably bring a closer connection between the two of you.

Is it fine if I PM you instead? I... just don't want to annoy anyone else here with my [Depression] issues. Which I've done enough of here.

I had a really really interesting and exciting dream last night. Of course the alarm comes too early. I want to know the ending!

Just when you think Kanye could not get more unlikable....
I'm fairly certain I couldn't dislike him more than after I read this quote:

'Sometimes people write novels and they just be so wordy and so self-absorbed. I am not a fan of books. I would never want a book's autograph. I am a proud non-reader of books.'

The foundation of what's wrong with America so perfectly illustrated.

I really don't understand how he still has any fans. He has to be the most unlikable celebrity ever.

I feel like I lost brain cells reading that quote.

UGH 1) He doesn't need to make some grand proclamation that he's not a reader of books. Listen to him and it's extremely obvious LOL.

2) That's rich... coming from the most self absorbed person I've ever heard of!

The biggest thing is that I don't really give a crap about his life. At all. He can be as ignorant and idiotic as he wants and it doesn't truly affect me. EXCEPT for the fact that I was shown this quote by a 9th grade student who attempted to use it as a platform to say that you don't have to be able to read to be successful. It was awful.

How sad is it that I didn't have to go to the previous page to know who you were talking about?

He is very self-absorbed himself and I can't believe he doesn't realize he is the butt of so many jokes.

He just frustrates me.

In random news I realized the lyrics to Rob Thomas' Lonely No More are actually NOT

'Open up to me and I will do your girlfriends'

Oh. Ok.

I SWEAR That is what I have always heard.

I'm not a huge fan of AKC. I haven't been since I found other ways to compete. Gabby and I showed in AKC rally on Saturday--her first time there. My first time in an AKC ring in probably 5 years.

We are not a well oiled team yet but we do much more than muddle though. And while I always train to be the best we can be... she's still a very green dog. She scored a 98/100 in Novice B. Two people standing in front of me while watching the rest of the dogs run were talking about how her 97 was "more deserved than that 98." And I was annoyed. I'm still annoyed. We were the only team to score a 98, so they were talking about us. That never would have happened in our WCRL rings. People aren't that mean.

I am super proud of my girl. I only started doing AKC again because we don't have many WCRL trials. And AKC courses are shorter than UKC courses, which is what we need right now.

I just don't get it.

It seems like other venues are more (sometimes) about building each other up, and lately AKC is about tearing everyone else down.

So yesterday I was inches away from being seriously hurt in a car accident. And in a totally separate event, my dad and brother were involved in a collision as well.

I was innocently walking across the street at an intersection, when this 17 year old kid thought it was clear to make a left (toward where I was walking), what he didn't see was the car going straight.
I heard a horn, then the crash, and all of the sudden I was showered in broken glass and debris. Both vehicles written off.

They both swerved in my direction to avoid each other, not seeing me there at the time.

Thankfully, everyone involved was okay. The poor girl that had the right of way driving was hurt by the airbags, but conscious and coherent.
Both drivers and the witnesses all came up to me afterwards. The drivers apologizing for not seeing me, and the witnesses exclaiming how close I was to death.

And I stood there examining how everything that I did that lead up to the point was atypical for me that day. One of my classes was cancelled, so I took an earlier bus home. I got off at the stop prior to the one I normally get off at, which is why I was crossing the road. Normally I would cross the opposite way first (I had to get to the diagonal corner), but I opted to cross the other way.

I managed to keep calm and stick around to make a statement. But when I sent my mom a text to let her know what happened, she only responded with "Dad was hit today" which of course sends me into panic mode. Thankfully his accident was far less severe. Everyone is fine, the car is pretty well fine due to where he was hit, but the other guys car fell to pieces.

Feels like someone was sending a message to my family yesterday. We were all nervous about my mom going to work last night

My biggest issue now is that I've been sick ever since. Blech.

That seems to be a good summary. I wasn't the only target either. It just seems so stupid to a) worry about things like that, and b) publicly share your views during the trial.

I'll choose my next trials even more carefully I guess.
