Pixie....do you really want one ?? If so, get it low enough so it won't be seen when dressed in a gown. Who knows what you may be doing in 40 years. Accepting an award ?? At a Presidential Ball ?? At one stage of your life, it may seem cool .... but I've never seen an influential person sporting either tattoos or piercings.

pixie you can't say something looks trashy and then no offense =) next time just say you dont like the way it looks or its not for you. but to answer your question theres no way to tell how bad its going to hurt everybodies different. i'd question getting a tattoo the size of a dime though unless its really really simple its not going to hold up well. make sure no matter what you get you go to a good artist
I don' really care if any took offense it my opinion I mean yeah im sorry people take it personally but you shouldn't care what I think if you like it thats YOUR opinion.. Anyways Its not going to be that small im going to get an example. And if anyone is going to take my comment personal thats too bad I did mean it to be.

I do want to get it somewhere I can cover it up but it is something that means alot to me (what im getting a tattoo of). Its so personal infact i'd rather not share exactly what it is.

lol. I'm sure I'll be right there with you in a couple of days. Which means it will start it's itchy phase while I am working! Imagine my joy.

My opinion is if your worried about pain don't get it. Expecially the back of the neck.. As a rule anything close to bones is going to hurt worse. Like someone else said though, everyones different. And since I have one on my back I can tell ya, you DON"T want it there if you can't handle pain. ;)

The best way to deal with it is to put your mind someplace else.
Im not worried about pain im just asking which parts hurt the most and which hurt the least. Im willing to withstand pain. Everyone in my family has had tattoos done but im still getting more opinions on levels of pain on different parts of your body. But like I said before im not stranger to pain ;) .

1) First one on my ankle: two angels holding a heart with a cross in the middle, in memory of my grandparents :) . New one on my back... it's a heart with swirly type things that come from the sides... it's pretty neat, wish I could explain it better.

2) My first one I got when I was 19 or 20 maybe and I wanted it because I wanted and I wanted what I wanted because it meant something.. the second one I had been planning for three years  and wanted to make sure it was what I really wanted. Oh, and I was 24 when I got it.

3) getting any more? no, don't plan to but who knows... although the one on my back hurt a tad... so, uhh maybe not, lol.

4) did it hurt ? My ankle did not hurt, it was uncomfortable at the most, however, there were spots on my back that hurt somethin awful, ouch! I tried to be brave because my best friend was getting one too.

Exactly. Mine on my back is hgh enough to be seen but low enough to be covered if need be... It's nothing rude or offensive... but tattoos aren't meant for all occasions.

I have 5 only 1 can be seen if Im wearing a short sleave shirt. 3 are due to be touched up, 1 is going to be coverred up.

Now for the horrible pictures.

The 3 that need touch ups.

The 1 that will be coverred with a Buddy Christ.

I have 1 more on my left shoulder blade that I need somebody else to get a decent picture.

I do want another bar maid on my other forearm I just have to fly to Seattle to get it done.

Okay im going to ask all you "tattoo peoples" opinions. This summer im getting a couple peircings done and I was thinking about getting a small tattoo alittle bigger then a dime or penny. I would like to get it at the back of neck kind of between my shoulder blades. But I just wanted opinions on where you think is the least painful spot to get a tattoo. And no I am not interested on tattoo peircings. Because no offence to women on here who have them but I think tattoos on womens arms look trashy.

It depends ont the person really, the one on my ankle was not painful, but uncomfortable. The one I goton my back, parts of that hurt. It's between my shoulder blades in the smack center and spreads out quite a bit... I got it low enough to be covered if need be.

Thanks !! I thought I'd be whipped with a wet noodle for my post.
Aww, Grammy. It really does make sense though. As nice as some tattoos are, they aren't meant for all occasions. My wedding day, for example.. not an occasion for my tattoo so it was covered so that it coudl not be seen at all, even if i had to lift my dress to step, etc.. :)

No one here can tell you what parts will hurt worse or less for you. As said before everyone is different and has a different threshold for pain.

If it is that personal that you can't share on here what it is............
Then maybe you would want to have it on a part of your body that is permanantly covered up?

hehe grammy you should so much like my mom in that post. I don't know i though about hiding it but the fact is i consider good tattoos to be works of art. i spent 4 years thinking about what i wanted and where it would go. a month of finding pictures of art i liked and sketching out the general idea. it took another 3 weeks to find a good artist and get an appointment. a week for him to put all the refrence material i had looked up together and draw the design out. it can be covered with regular shirts and of course my employers will never see it. but theres no way not to see this thing if im in a tank top and thats ok im proud of it.

I was thinking about getting a Tattoo on different occasions...but so far I have not found anything that is so important to me I felt the need to needle it in my skin and have it on my body for the rest of my life. Some friends of mine got tattoos with 16 or 17 and they are in their midtwenties now and wish they hadn't done it.
I just don't really get the sense out of it. I could get my hubby's name tattoo'ed somewhere lol. Just kidding... I don't get why people do that.

Its not that I can't its just that I don't feel like telling the whole story behind it. I don't mind if people see it.
