Because they don't know the answer and they're curious maybe? Or it's somebody who will take the most intelligent answer from there and copy and paste it back to you here, as their own. Believe it or not, I've seen it happen before elsewhere and find it just...... wierd.
Sorry but I am quite offended. If they wanted to get outside opinions they should have said "This person asked this question and what should I tell her".

Boy, I don't blame you for being offended. I would be, too. I agree they could have prefaced the question by stating that this issue had come up, and he/she was interested in knowing if anyone had any input.
I wouldn't take it as a compliment, considering I've had people post photos of my dogs before and impersonating me/just plain pretending they own the dogs and I don't exist. Mimicing a post word for word obviously isn't the same thing, but it's still creepy and not normal...

Wow, this is so stupid... it seems like it takes more effort to come here, find a post to copy, and then go to another forum and post it there, as opposed to just going to the other forum and typing it out all quick by themselves lol... >9.9<
