Well, Sunny is finally housetrained. I can let him wander the house and there are no more mysterious puddles. He is even learning to use a bell to go out the back door when he needs it. This is sort of where the problem comes in. See, I don't want to discourage the bell, it seems to me like it would be discouraging a toddler from using the potty when he said he needed to. However there is a fresh layer of snow on the ground and Sunny LOVES snow. Well, the little devil has decided that his bell is not just for potty time but for play time and snow eating time too. (Let me assure you he is getting PLENTY of exercise and water so these are not needs but strong puppy desires.) He'll ring that goofy jingle bell till it practically falls off the wall to get me to let him out. It is -2 wind chill outside! I don't like standing outside waiting for pee that might not come until he decides he wants to go in! He is trained to potty on command but lately he doesn't feel like it I guess. I don't know. Goofy dog. He looks so proud whenever I open the door for him, like "gee this place is sweet, 3 square meals a day, a warm cooshy bed to sleep on and a MAID who comes when called with a bell. "
