Should I let my kids play hookie tomorrow?

I looove it when my mom lets me stay home. Missing 1 day isn't really enough to throw things off at school. I say go for it unless they have tests...it's just annoying to have to set up a date to make those up!

My mom will sometimes let me stay home for no reason, and we'll go out for breakfast, shop all day...it's just nice to get a break.

I have been out of school for the past two days. And im probley gonna miss tomarow too. As im extremely sick.

I let Jenna play hookie every now and then. I make sure she doesn't have a test or anything before I let her ditch

I do have to admit that unless it was a snow day ...all went to school. If one was borderline sick ... they'd stay home and be spoiled . Hubby and I went to Chicago once a year on buying trips ............ each child came once and it was a treat for them and for me . Elin ( Amy ) had a bank account with her daddy and real checks ( though fake ) against her account . We went to Marshall Fields and she saw a Steiff pony she wanted . I slipped the clerk my credit card , but asked her to accept her check and give it back to me under cover . She still has her pony and I still have the check .....it will be hers soon ! A wonderful memory of 35 years ago .

I think its a great idea. My mom used to do that occassionally w/ me. My school actually had "personal days" where you could miss for no other reason then you wanted too. (these were on top of being sick) I remember those days clearly, and when Alexa's bigger we'll have our hookie days too.

But over here, you can get in really big trouble with that. It's so stupid. If you leave an absense unexcused for seven days your parents could go to jail. *rolls eyes* Hopefully they aren't as strict over where you live.
