I know a certain person is going to ream me for this and claim I'm not helping, but these are not universal. None of those places allow pets here, not even Home Depot. Lowe's does, but not Home Depot.
Perhaps because I'm in a city?? All these places told me they have a dog friendly policy!
I would say best to call and ask then!

Thanks again, Fran! And we would love the vest! :)

I've made contact with an obedience trainer turned task-specific service dog trainer (after she found herself needing a service dog). There's actually a statewide working animal organization, and many people live near me. They meet up regularly, not just for socialization for the members, but it have training sessions as well. They also frequent stores/restaurants that are glad to have them, again not just to visit with one another, but to keep their dogs' training refreshed. I'm very excited to find them, and I'm going to be meeting with several people to meet their dogs and to also learn the route that will be best for us. And the lady I spoke with does 1-on-1 task training, so that will be great. :D

If this all works out, then I see great things coming from it, mainly for Cole and his independence. If the service dog thing doesn't pan out for some reason or another, we still gain a great addition to or family and friend to the boys. There are no losers in this situation. :)
