Truly a new low, even for Rush, which is saying something. I don't generally get offended by things that political talking heads say (both left and right), because let's face it, they are charismatic figures paid large sums of money to say inflammatory things and cater to the wing nuts in their respective political camps.
However, as a woman and a consumer of contraception I am not only offended and frankly enraged by Rush's comments I am deeply disturbed and mildly horrified by the support he is receiving and the fact that more members of the GOP are not flaming him for his comments (although some have, and they have my respect for it). This is not a left/right thing, it is a human decency and respect thing.
It is also a pot meet kettle situation, considering that Rush was caught with Viagra in between his 3rd and 4th marriage. So, assuming said pills were not meant for fueling an active masturbatory life (ewwww), Rish was himself having extramarital sex. Just saying....
