The dog needs a better handler.
Agree if true, but ... just did a quick news search in another tab and cannot find anything in the linked story confirmed on ANY other web sites. Kinda makes me wonder about the reliability of "Radar Online". Is this a celebrity "gossip" site?

Only asking because those sites (and the tabloid press) are well-known for printing "exclusive" stories that cannot be confirmed anywhere else ... and are often later found to have not even a grain of truth to them. Plenty of law suits have resulted from that common practice of "gossip" media. Most end up settled out of Court, with amounts awarded for the fact that damage has already been done by gossip media putting the untrue story out there ... because there's always going to be some people who believe it anyway, even when proven to be absolutely false.

I rank this right up with one of the trash rags saying "Jesse James involved in Pit Fighting Ring!" and shows his two dogs playing together in his driveway.

Radar online really isnt a very concrete source lol they kind of have the tendency to take stories and "spice them up" so they are interesting like zooms example

UGH.
The only training that NEEDS to be done is training her and her dog's "handlers" to manage dog aggression.

Reality check:
Guess what folks?
Pit bulls were bred for over 200 years to fight other dogs in pits.
But they were also bred to be awesome family dogs.
These things are genetic, just like a collie "herds".

Is Isaboo's behavior excusable? Nope. But it's more excusable than her owner's lack of knowledge.

Get with the program, Rachel Ray and co.
Learn to manage Isaboo.

Duh.

WTF are you walking a dog with known DA without being aware of her cues?
I am not saying don't walk the animal, I am saying learn to manage her and yourself you *********!

Well, my whole thing is that so many people get wrapped up in the whole "Pit bulls are so terribly misunderstood", and they ARE misunderstood as far as the general public thinking they are human-killing beasts.

BUT, these same people are in denial that these dogs are genetically pre-disposed to dog aggression. Dog aggression isn't (or shouldn't be) a death sentence for a pit bull. It's not a "fault".
It exists (or CAN exist), and after one incident, she should have had her people take the necessary precautions with Isaboo while out on walks.
But, she's obviously not educated about the breed.
I'm guessing she is one of those people that likes to look at the pictures of pit bulls snuggling with kittens and yorkies.
Which is NOT the norm for pit bulls.

Isaboo can still be walked out in public if her handlers can get a clue and get educated about the breed.

This is so annoying to me! I work in a store that has three sections: daycare, retail, resort. I supervise the daycare and luckily all my staff has their head screwed on right and actually know a thing or two about dogs and understand the issues some breeds can have. DA being one of them. However whenever I talk to retail or resort about DA in pitbulls or any other breed that can have DA it's: "No, I disagree (with the dogs' history? Lol) you can solve any DA issues with training and getting from a proper breeder. It's not DA that is the issue, but the dogs' strength." I could bang my head against a wall. Then again, most of them like Cesar Milan and a couple like Brad Pattison.

I just feel like when it comes to pitbulls, you can just never say the right thing.
This doesnt apply to this thread but oh sooo many ive seen. I can TOTALLY see how people get confused on this issue

usually it goes down like this..

"Pitbulls are dog aggresive"
NO THEY AREN'T!!! LOOK AT THIS ONE! AND THIS ONE! MY PITTY LOVES OTHER DOGS! YOUR STATEMENT IS WHY PITBULLS ARE SO MISUNDERSTOOD

or

"aww look at this pitty cuddling his best friend bob the chihuahua. Pits can be best friends with other doggies"
THAT IS SO WRONG! THATS NOT THE NORM! THEY ARE TERRIERS!DA IS A PART OF THEM LIKE A BORDIE COLLIE HERDING! YOUR STATEMENT IS WHY PITBULLS ARE SO MISUNDERSTOOD

I just get why people are confused about it.

To me, it looks like there was one source and all the other papers copied it. I still don't believe it's actually true.

Yeah, people get confused about it because they don't seem to understand that humans and dogs are different.
We even communicate differently. (shocker, right?:D)

Pit bulls should NOT be human aggressive. They should love all-things-human.
But if they would rather eat teh cute kitteh, or destroy it, that should not be a shocker to anyone.
And I think when people want to prove how "AWESOME-MY-LOVES-EVERYTHING-PIT-BULL" is, they seem to think that pit bulls need to be human robotic dogs programmed to be PERFECT.
Not dogs that act on instinct that are not just dogs, but bull dogs AND terriers, and that those two breeds, in and of themselves, have their own traits.

If people could separate human aggression and dog aggression, and/or humans and dogs, and also, simply took responsibility for their dogs, the WHOLE ENTIRE pit bull issue wouldn't even BE.:D

And that's my take on it.
Is it cute when a pit bull licks teh cute bunneh?
Sure.
But it isn't typcial.
It wouldn't be typical for a JRT, a rat Terrier, or ANY other terrier to gently lick teh bunneh rabbitz.
It's GREAT to see. It's ADORABLE. But it's not typical. And, I'd be lying if I said it doesn't make me cringe inside a bit whenever I see someone post a picture of their pit bull snuggling a small furry creature.
But it is cute.

Wouldn't it be even funnier if she wasn't? Let's make our own dog food, but we won't feed it to our dogs because it's crap.

Yeah, definitely a lot of misinformation and people saying "My pit bull gets along with dogs, so pit bulls aren't DA." (Because it's IMPOSSIBLE that your dog-friendly pit bull is the exception.)

I can understand why she's upset, though . . . I'd be upset too if my dog "ripped the ear off another dog." I mean, that's disgusting and upsetting. Yeah, the dog doesn't know any better, etc, etc . . . It's still disgusting and upsetting.

Obviously, she should keep this dog away from other dogs!

Who knows how much of this is just rumor, though.
