Mr. Lizard. RIP man. He fought off a scrungy bum that tried to pull me in the bushes once. What an awesome dude.

Rosella. She died during a power outage last winter. I raised her from a hatchling.

The dog I will never forget is "Alex"... He was just a super, super dog. I love my Lily, but Alex was my "heart dog". He was supposed to be a miniature poodle, but there was nothing miniature about him... in stature or heart! We loved him so!! We were so lucky to have him for nearly 17 yrs.

My past dogs we had were
Georgie: who was a Silkie Terrier. We bought her from a breeder who rescued her back from an abusive home. We ended up giving her back to the breeder because my parents just did not think they could deal with her problems.

Maddie: She was a Westie. Pretty much the best dog ever. She was the best and always up for an adventure and a game with me and my brother. She was the perfect dog in anyway. We had to PTS about two three years ago. Pretty much the hardest thing I had to do. She was pretty close to a heart dog to me.

Shadow: Was a Bouvier De Flanders. She was such a powerful dog and very naturally protective. Especially of me and my brother. She was always by our side. And I believe that she would do anything to keep us safe. She also would also haul us back and forth in a wagon. She was just fantastic. Unfortunatly she died in her sleep. The vet said it was ok to bring her home after surgery. She had cancer in her uterus I believe and she ended up dying of internal bleeding. We felt so quilty after beacause we had no idea.

Past Horses
Big Fella: QH/Saddlebred. Who was a 17.3 HH. He was a great horse, but way to big for me to handle and I was so small weighting about 90 pounds that he could not feel me on his back. So we ended up selling him to a over six feet cowboy!

Cloud: She was an Appy/Andalusian. She was such a beautiful horse and had such a smooth gate. She was given to me by my grampa before he died. She was my first horse.

Babe: She was an Arabian and my Babie. I nursed her back to health after she was very underweight and then trained her from the ground up. She is somthing that I am very proud of. I ended up selling her after realizing that I would not have enough time for her and it would not be fair to keep her when someone else would be enjoying and riding her. I miss her alot still.

Hershey: Is a Gelding Mule. Pretty much the most funnest animal ever. He was such a riot and a trouble maker. He got into everything. And I mean everything.

Rosie
: Female Mule. She was the sweetest, smartest thing I have ever met. She was so cute and danty and she also an appy mule. I love her!

Other Pets
Tika: Sable Ferret
Salt and pepper: Two female guinea pigs
Sonic and Sally: Two headge Hogs. Sally was a Beeoch though ha ha
No name: A baby mole that I found after a flood and nursed until she would be put back into the wild.
I have had so many fish and hamters and we even had a load of mice.

Seriously old thread...but worth bumping IMO. :)

Past dogs:

Candy, childhood dog, a red? pomeranian. Was killed by a neighbor's dog.
Dylan, my first dog as an adult, a brindle pit. Had to rehome hime when I needed to move back home.
Athena, a black lab/afghan cross. Was a rescue that I trained and rehomed.
Alley, black with white markings and tan points, aussie/rottie mix. Was a rescue that I trained and rehomed.
Casey, a bicolor GSD. Was a rescue that I wasn't sure if I was rehoming or keeping. The decision was made for me when he had a nervous breakdown and needed to find a new home for his own well being.
Merlyn, a dark sable GSD. Was returned to the breeder for a list of problems.
Piper, a sable GSD. Was lovely until a 180 in her temperament left me very much disliking her. Rehomed her to someone who appreciated her more than I could.
Leo, a black with tan GSD. Was rehomed when I needed to downsize.

Past horses:
Kiwi, a chestnut quarter horse. Sold him when I got tired of landing on my head.
Rudy, a chestnut thoroughbred. Sold him when I lost my job and couldn't afford his board.

Past cats:
Aggy, orange tabby. Died from kidney failure after probably getting into something toxic.
Gypsy. Left her with my mom when I moved out. She lived to a lovely old age of 16 or 17.
Bear, black and white. Died way too young from anaphylactic shock. :(

Past hamsters:
Sammy, a teddy bear. Died of old age.
Debbie and David. Died of old age.
Smack. Got loose and disappeared. :(
Ice. Died of old age.

Past others:
Gerbils that either had no names or I long ago forgot their names. Died of old age.
Guinea pigs that I no longer remember their names. Originally two, they had babies. Babies were given to friends. Adults were separated to prevent more babies. After a couple years of them, I decided they were too much work and not enough fun and returned them to where I'd gotten them. (Hey, I was 12.)
Two goldfish that I killed by overfeeding them. (I was 5.)

I don't know where my pictures of my past dogs are -- I had some in Photobucket, but I can't find them anymore for some reason. So I'll just have to list mine without photos..

Sabi: Male Rottweiler. My Dad bought him from an abusive home, and we had him for just a couple of years. He went through lots of training and rehab, but ended up becoming solely my Dad's dog and was unsafe around my mom and my brother and I. My Dad ended up giving him to a forever bachelor friend of his out in the country. He ended up living out his life there, and was very happy in a single owner, single dog home with hardly any visitors.

Tuffy: Male Bichon Frise. After Sabi was gone, my mom wanted a smaller, easier dog and so they found Tuffy's breeder a short while later. He ended up living until he was about 12, and was PTS in the end as his quality of life was no longer good because of old age ailments.

Jesse: Female Miniature Dachshund. A Vaccuum salesman came to our door trying to sell my Dad a vaccuum, and they got to talking dogs somehow. The guy mentioned he wanted to be rid of his wife's little Dachshund, and my Dad felt bad and ended up buying Jesse instead of the vaccuum. She was terrible in the beginning -- no training whatsoever, highly possessive, etc. but she ended up becoming a fantastic dog. She was my childhood dog -- she was my best friend for years; followed me everywhere, slept with me, put up with anything I felt like doing with her. She passed of old age in August 2004.

Bianca: Female Rottweiler. My Dad convinced my mom to try another Rottie, as he adored them (still does). This time they did it the right way and found a good breeder, though. Bonky (her nickname -- we never called her Bianca) was absolutely perfect for our family, but she had health issues and only ended up living for a few years. We got her when she was about three years old, and she lived until she was almost 7 years old. We put her to sleep. I don't remember the name of what was wrong with her -- it wasn't a common illness.

Sky: Female Dalmatian. Sky was awesome! She was so much fun, insanely intelligent, highly trainable, and just an all around fabulous dog. She and my mom were very close especially. My parents weren't on good terms when Sky was around, and my Dad claimed he hated the dog (which wasn't true -- I've yet to see him hate any animal) and gave her to his sister. That's a real sore point still in our lives.

Tia: She was another Dachshund we had, and ended up needing to rehome as she hated -- absolutely hated -- living with other dogs. She's 10 years old now and we still get updates on her. She's doing better than ever in her new home as a spoiled rotten only dog.

Echo: Our third Rottweiler. She was truly just about the perfect family dog. You couldn't ask for a better. She was super friendly with everyone, was incredibly entertaining, so people pleasing and eager to learn... just an all around amazing dog. She ended up with cancer in Fall of 2004, then a short while later ended up with a severe case of Megaesophagus, and we had no choice but to put her to sleep in May of 2005 at just 5 years old.

Tango: The first dog I called my own, a female Toller/Border Collie mix. She was a real challenge for the whole family, had quite a few issues (DA on leash, feared wind/breeze, deathly afraid of storms, etc. to name a few), and was unlike any other dog we'd ever had. We all adored her though, and I still miss her like you wouldn't believe eventhough she's been gone for a little over two years now. She taught me a lot about dogs, and she and I were totally inseperable. Even with her issues, she more than made up for those with her undying devotion, enthusiasm, and just her overall personality. She was an incredible dog. She was put to sleep at 4 years old due to sudden paralysis. It wouldn't have been kind to put her through surgery with just a 10% chance she'd walk again, nevermind swim and run and play like she used to.

Winston: Our first Doberman. Our (now) friend, who was then a co-worked of mom's, heard Echo wasn't going to be around much longer and invited us to her home to meet her Dobermans and specifically a couple of rescues she had at the time. We went over there last night, not expecting to want to adopt one of the rescues, especially Winston because he was male and we had some stupid misconception regarding male dogs. We ended up falling in love with him though and he was brought home a few weeks later. He was 6 1/2 when we adopted him, and ended up living until almost 11 years old when he was put to sleep due to a very aggressive, inoperable cancer January 2009. He was a really great dog, and started our passion for Dobermans.

Morgan: We adopted her from Rottweiler rescue, but ended up euthanizing her eventually. She was the most neurotic, weird dog I've ever experienced. No matter what we did, she wouldn't learn, and could hardly cope with life. Due to all of her issues, her quality of life was severely deteriorating, and we felt it best to put her down instead of stress her out more. That was truly the best option for her.

I think that's everyone! There were a couple others around... Piper, a Dachshund; and Keeva, a Doberman. But we took both of those in knowing we probably wouldn't keep them. Piper was a foster, and Keeva we'd had intentions of possibly adopting, but she wasn't a good fit for our home at all. Oh, and then of course there was Spring, who I have back to her breeder earlier this year as she just wasn't working out and it wasn't fair to either her or I that we keep her.

Haha, I am bringing it back because I found some pictures of some of my old pets.

Bear: A huge brindle, long furred sweet dog. He was super laid back, but he did like to play with our other dog. I don't have nay pictures of him, and I have honestly no idea what breeds he was. He died around fie years ago. RIP

Ngai: Her name stood for Never Gives An Inch. Whatever Bear did, she did. She was a little snarky, but a sweety to us family members. She did kill like three cats that wandered into our yard. The only reason Sign was able to live was because Ngai was getting really old and couldn't run as fast. Many people mistook her for a fox, and she was the prettiest dog in the world. She was an Aussie/lab mix.

Snakes: We had Ferta, and Lizer, and another one we didn't name. They were Red rat snakes that were found in our yard eating our duck eggs. Oh, and there was a yellow rat snake as well.

Ducks: Mama duck, Prince Albert(Who committed suicide) Katrina and her daughter Katrinka. Katrinka was the most neurotic duck out there. I don't know if it is possible for ducks to get drunk, but she did it. And she got the others doing it too. They would drink the rotten orange juice from the oranges hanging around.

Chickens: The ones we named were Sunny(The cutest bantam hen ever) Kayolani(who turned out to be a boy and whose named changed to Kay) Lancelot and his three hens(He was the most gorgeous Rooster EVER!) And CDC(the last living of the chickens)

Fish: Some catfish, bass, minnows, and sucker fish

Other: Bullfrog, leopard frog, cuban tree frogs, salamanders, and crawfish

Corky: A cockatiel, he/she loved baseball, and that is how he found us. When he flew away, we got out wiffle ball and my dad pitched to Sam and down he flew to my dads shoulder. He also sang to a pillow

Skipper and Skipper doo. Two flying squirrels who we nursed back to health and then they ran away.

Salt and Pepper: Two mice.

And that should be it. Yes, I have had a ton of animals.

The red Siberian Husky was re-homed, and sadly the Samoyed mix had to be put down. :(:cry:
She was such a sweet dog.
