There are apartments in my hometown that are offering low-come assistance. Only asking for 30% of income! We've been trying to get on waiting list for low-income housing assistance for months, but they are still not accepting new people on the list,.. and then this comes up! And here's the real kicker.... they allow small pets!!!!! It is only 3 blocks away from my mom's house, so I likely wouldn't take Cocoa yet, so that we'd only have 2 cats to put on the application. And hopefully even though we have 2 cats, maybe the fact that I work in a vet clinic and any other history I can give will show we are responsible pet owners.
Being on our own will be soo much more responsibility, but is a responsibility I want. He'd have to get his own car insurance and get off his grandparent's which will cost us more money(he pays his portion, but he's currently on his grandparent's plan), and we'll have to work our way around not having 2 cars, but I know we'll make it work if our application is accepted. I'll likely pick up more hours where I can since if we got it we'd be paying rent (YAY!).
Just found out 5 minutes ago. I'm not trying to get my hopes up too high. I'm going over as soon as the apartment offices opens up tomorrow to get an application. We are most definitely going to be praying for this one. So please, please give us good vibes and prayers!
