Voodoo is just impossible. He is absolutely the most egotistical little dog I've ever had. He's always strutting and preening to Zeus, and acting like he's the biggest, baddest dog out there.

Zeus is so patient with him. But occassionally, Voodoo will take it too far (like try to steal Zeus' chewie from him). That's when Zeus growls and either snaps at Voodoo or flips him onto his back. And of course Voodoo starts screaming and yiping like he's going to die, laying on the floor with his tail between his legs.

And guess what? As soon as Zeus lets him up, Voodoo is right back at it.

Voodoo just doesn't get it. No matter how many times Zeus puts him in his place, the chaos demon is still convinced that he is the spiffiest dog to ever grace this house. *sigh* I thought neutering would help tone it down a bit, but not this time.

Anybody else have to deal with this kind of ego?

Sorry...no clue here, but I feel your pain...Sometimes zyzy will try to grab the toy that Chloe is playing with and she will get pissed and start growling at him and go after him...and it is just a big round and round they go everyday (so far)

And then Chloe will just aggravate Zyzy by getting the toy and prancing around him  which makes him want it even more

I never had more than one dog at a time. Sounds like it can remove any possibility of boredom from your life.... ;)

Tips is the same way, I sympathize, lol. The difference is that Boris usually lets him walk all over him (and he's supposed to be the dominant one, go figure).

Last night Tips was screaming bloody murder because Boris had a bone and didn't want to let it go  He also has a fascination for pulling on Boris' back legs.

At least you can say, you're not bored with two dogs :D

Heeheee... are you talking about Squid!? :p I SWEAR that dog has the BIGGEST ego! He's the exact same way with Tiki.. pick pick pick.. then finally Tiki snaps at him.. tries to put him in his place.. Squid gets all offended.. then goes RIGHT BACK AT HER!!

Sometimes I just don't know how Tiki manages to deal with him.. hahah.. :p

and he prances about like he owns the world.. Even if I catch him being bad and yell to tell him to stop he just looks at me like " oh.. you know you didn't really mean that!"

LOL, sounds just like Hondo. He rarely plays with Caza or Joe, but when he is around Neeko, he just goes up to him and tries to grab whatever Neeko has and Neeko gets so mad. Today I let Hondo outside, not knowing that Neeko had a bone outside with him and the next thing I hear is a "growl-bark" as I call it, and a little wimper. Neeko lets Hondo up, he's right back at it.
Hondo recently "attacked" Caza, and Caza just looked at him and walked away. Caza is fairly good with dogs except when there is water and food involved.

Our next door neighbors dog looks like an overgrown couch cushion... literally... he's a 70 lb terrior/poodle mix of some sort named Dudley.. anyway.. Binn got put in his place by Dudley after Binn went to far with "hey I wanna play, so lets play" Dudley growled in Binn's face, and Binn hit the ground faster then I could.

And I will see your egotistical dogs and raise you two Riot Grrrrls :D Especially Shiva . . . although both of them together don't have as much of an ego as Buffy did all by herself . . . Bimmer helps keep these two in line a bit though - he gets after them if they get too full of themselves and they both hit the deck. Buffy, however, was another story entirely . . . Bimmer ENCOURAGED Buffy's ego . . . she was his world and whatever Buffy wanted, Bimmer wanted her to have . . .

But we love those hypertrophied egos, don't we? :D

Need I even start on Ripley?

Dakota's got quite the ego too, but he keeps it in check until I leave him in the custody of unsuspecting friends and relatives. He gave my brother absolute HELL last weekend.
