Renee, my friend Devon actually just mentioned those heating pads as well. She said there's some I can get from the local CVS pharmacy that I can stick on me and they heat for like 8 hours. She's going to pick me up on my lunch break and take me to get one.

Heat can help a lot but it can also make things worse if you never give your back a break from it.

The best thing I've found is to rotate your heat and ice packs every 30-45 minutes with breaks from both every now and then.

Also, can you call the doctor and get some different medication? Maybe a muscle relaxer (something like Skelaxin) and pain pill that you can take while working? Ibuprofen 800mg would also help with the inflammation in your back.

I hope you start feeling better -- neck/back pain are the worse!

hope you faired ok after the accident!

not 100% sure where the frame stops, but from the looks of it you probably have some of frame damage, the motor mounts are probably tweaked, need a new exhaust, and to fix the rear axle alone might not be worth the fix.

Front axle, upper control arm, CV joints etc might need to be replaced also.

Make sure you get a few quotes from body shops so you dont get screwed!

See how much you can get if it is "salvaged'

it definately looks like you got some significant frame damage there. I am afraid you will be paying far more to repair that car than what it's worth. You might want to weigh your options here. See what the insurance company will offer you if they total the car. Then see if you have enough money from what they will pay you to pay your boss the loan you borrowed from him. If you have any money left over, perhaps you can use that for a down payment on another vehicle.

Maybe you could check around and just see what the repair shops will charge you and if it will be structurally safe if they have to stretch the frame back into alignment. I am just really afraid they are going to sock it to you for the cost. Don't go alone... take a guy with you. I hate to stereotype... but a LOT of shops will see a lady coming and instantly think "cha ching!"

You might even want to consider what you would make if you sold the car for parts. You definately have a few different options. Maybe something will work out for you and not cost you a fortune. Goodluck!
