New tattoo

I got my new tattoo on Monday, and am thrilled with it! The evolution of it was that I showed this photo:

to a FB friend who does awesome line drawings, and had agreed to do one for me. (I asked. With a winky face, because if you include the winky face, it's not pushy.) So she did this sketch:

Which I loved. Loved it so much that I wanted to wear it permanently. So here it is. With Pirate, who is not the subject, the subject is Tess.

Of course, now it's been suggested that I get Pirate on the other leg, but I'm a bit concerned that if I have to get a tattoo of every dog I own, I'll run out of skin.

That is way awesome! Love it. I'm with you on running out of skin.

I'm waiting on getting my horse ink.. Mainly took their name and incorporated a marking from their body into it. I'm not worried about loosing skin with that one, as I will only get heart horses.

I haven't quite figured out what I want to do for the dogs, as each one holds a special spot... I would love to get something individual, but it would have to be super small. Like, I love the sketch/line drawing.. but I would way run out of room. May mix it up though, who knows. Any way your friend may be interested in doing some more line work for a Boxer? I will include a winky face!

I just got another this week, Romeo's paw print on my foot. Tattoo shop was doing pawprints to benefit a local shelter, my boss and I went down and got it done.

I'm going to a studio in about three weeks to get a sketch done for my back piece. SO. EXCITED.

LOVE that tattoo and love the photo with Pirate. I really like line art tattoos - sassafras here has gorgeous ones of her 3 dogs that she drew up herself.

Thanks! I hadn't even thought of doing a line drawing before, but once I saw it, I knew it would make an amazing tattoo. Of course, people who have seen it keep asking me if it's getting filled in. :lol-sign:

Yes, Dani did it. If Dawn finds time to do a sketch from one of the Pirate photos I sent her, I probably will break down and get him.
