I just went out back to play with the dogs. Our yard is completely fenced in, no gate. Our lawnmower lives on the back corner of our house because we don't have a shed. Freaking thing is gone. Now I have no love for mowing the lawn but dang it, my Daddy gave me that mower, and it wasn't even an amazing one. Stupid push behind lawnboy. The thing that gets me is the idiot would have had to climb over my fence, then carry the mower over the fence. WHY?! There have got to be 10 lawnmowers within site of my back yard. So why the heck mine? Can I even DO anything about it? It looks like some other small tools are missing too, which we had chalked up to us being forgetful with them. The dogs have been continually getting out when left in the back for more then a few minutes. Every time we think we've fixed the problem a new one arises. I'm starting to think that someone is letting them out intentionally and that P!SSES me off in a big big way. So I ask again, what can I do? Besides make sure the dogs are never alone outside and buying a lockable shed for the rest of our stuff? Freaking creeps. :(

That's pretty much it. File a police report. They won't do anything about it, but at least you'll have a record and if you see your stuff maybe you can get some of it back.

'Tis the season *sigh*

Well.. you can call the cops and report it as missing. Hopefully you will have the serial number but uh even that is a grasp at straws to get it back. If nothing else it makes the report. We record the seriel number on the instruction manuals of each tool/appliance we get ( if applicable..)
