its called a hobby. doing things to someone elses belonging is disrespectful.

i think you'd just sit outside laughing and be amazed if someone keyed your car and broke all your windows and stole things from inside your car wouldnt you? it would be just great!

i dont see how approaching a hobby and investing in something that doesnt violate or hurt someone in anyway is immature. you seem to lack common sense and i can tell by how you think these pranks are funny.
I understand the whole hobby thing. Unless given a reason, I would not do anything that would damage the vehicle. Thing is, a large portion of the people who have your hobby, drive their pieces of crap like a-holes. They drive too fast and are also noise pollution in some cases.

I honestly could give a crap about my car. I never keep anything of real value in it and I have insurance to cover the other things. To me, a vehicle is just a tool to be used to get from A to B. It makes no sense to spend that much money on something that loses value everyday you own it. Where is the common sense in THAT? ;)

All the things I have that are really valuable are in my home and they GAIN value.

They are funny because I like to see people get all bent over THINGS. People place too mch value on THINGS these days. But, this is all just my opinion. I am just offering the point of view of the other side. And frankly, if a majority of people with the "souped up" car hobby did not drive like a-holes I would not have a problem with it.

ahahaha you're HILARIOUS! you're probably one of those 40 year old guys who are the village idiots in their neighborhood.
Nope... 33 and actually, I don't really know any of my neighbors. But I do part own a business, that is actually quite rather respected around here.

I hope one day should you decide to do something like this that you run into the wrong guy and have to learn the hard way.
Me too... I fear NO man. ;)

are you seriously mad because people have different hobbies that you don't condone to? let's see someone do something to what you have worked so hard for to achieve and then have them come along being able to potentially break it or ruin it.
Not mad... Not mad at all... I just like to mess with people who give me reasons to. Work hard and have your car, that is cool. Just don't drive it like a jerk, LOUD, up and dopwn my street at 3am. Or cut me off, "racing" with your buddies on the freeway... need I go on? Act like a fool and you get treated like one. Respect other drivers on the road and I won't screw with your piece of crap.

How I see it, you really have no life and are those types of people who like to hide after doing something just to not get caught because only a bunch of sissy girls do things like this. (oh this would explain it. reading for pleasure and a computer geek. this speaks for itself. too much time on your hands)
:lol-sign:

Are you serious kid??? Really?

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA

HA!

HA!!!

Reading is a 'waste' of time eh? And I am the moron? I work 70 hours a week and I have a family. I have more life than you will ever dream of kid. Better yet, want to compare bank accounts and salary? Lets see who the bigger loser is.

But I digress... This really isn't worth it. But, I am going to the office for a bit and will have a few moments, so if you wish to mentally spar, lets have at it.

Oh I've done some evil things to cars as well...

I took mustard and diluted it with water and made a lovely windsheild wiper fluid mixture out of it:lol-sign:
LOL that's funny.

I remember one time I had a little prank war going on with a guy I used to work with and his car was his baby lol so I took an OIL based whipped cream and wrote on his windows "He who laughs last laughs best" and because it was oil based it was a bugger to get off LOL.... although I paid the price the next day when I was counting the money and he snuck up behind me and emptied a bag of that lovely whipped cream down the back of my shirt lol.

its not that. there was GUNK in it that was nasty. it could have been vomit. I bet you wouldn't have been relieved or happy to see something like that in a bag that you had to remove.

and not only that, if I didn't notice it and it was really blocking air it can cause some serious engine problems from over-heating.

I don't know who you're talking about with the accusations of "you" driving around like jerks and all that. But I don't street race because a felony is going to prevent my entrance into a medical school. I just do this because I'm a car enthusiast and it's what I like to do. Who the hell races on public streets where they can potentially endanger themselves and others around them? Those are what you call ricers. With those loud obnoxious fart cans that can be heard miles away. Those guys have slower cars than you anyways.

It's just the same as people who are really into programming and computers. Does that mean a handful majority of them are hackers and people who try to decipher encryptions to potentially steal vital information?

That's pretty stereotypical reasoning that can lead to other types of stereotyping such as racial and ethinic profiling.

Just because someone on the street drives like a jerk does not mean everyone else that that has a modified car deserves to have their car keyed, vandalized, ect.

Don't get me started on pollution either. Alot of people on the road drive like perfect citizens and can't even pass the smog test so let's not get to that point. Then there's people who drive like asses that don't even polute the environment.

Calling me a kid, that's quite funny for you to say. Sad that I don't play these kind of pranks when referring to me as a kid when you're so much more adult-like. I'm not here to argue anyways. I'm just letting out my .02

If someone did something to me I wouldn't even bother settling it with an object. I'd settle it face to face.

Fair enough... FWIW, I did not directly accuse YOU of being one of those types. In my personal experience, more people than not who have those sort of vehicles drive them like morons. The subject of driving carefully and responsibly is very near and dear to my heart. I nearly killed myself, driving too fast and like a moron when I was young. I realised after that, that dying in a car is a really stupid way to die. It's just not worth the risk to get there 3 minutes quicker. Again, not directly accusing you of being one of those types.

That's pretty stereotypical reasoning that can lead to other types of stereotyping such as racial and ethinic profiling.
Much akin to thinking a person is a loser because...

"How I see it, you really have no life and are those types of people who like to hide after doing something just to not get caught because only a bunch of sissy girls do things like this. (oh this would explain it. reading for pleasure and a computer geek. this speaks for itself. too much time on your hands)"

Hmmm?

Just because someone on the street drives like a jerk does not mean everyone else that that has a modified car deserves to have their car keyed, vandalized, ect.
Never said they did. But those that DO... Well... Action=Consesquence, which is something that a lot of our younger people fail to realize, often until it is too late.

Don't get me started on pollution either. Alot of people on the road drive like perfect citizens and can't even pass the smog test so let's not get to that point. Then there's people who drive like asses that don't even polute the environment.
I said NOISE pollution. I get grumpy when the douchebags in the apartment complex across the street wind their cars up, LOUD, early in the morning. Either the Harley dorks or the kids with the "fartcans". Its just rude.

Calling me a kid, that's quite funny for you to say. Sad that I don't play these kind of pranks when referring to me as a kid when you're so much more adult-like. I'm not here to argue anyways. I'm just letting out my .02
Neither do I anymore. Why? The action I would take is not worth the possible consequence anymore.

I am not here to argue either and I appreciate your $.02 now as well. I've learned a little more about you in the last few pages and heck, I will even apologize if I offened you... Even though I never directly accused you of anything. ;)

If someone did something to me I wouldn't even bother settling it with an object. I'd settle it face to face.
Me either... I'd tell the person to stop being an idiot and handle it from there. Oh, and it would not be a fist fight if it came to that either... ;) I am too old for that nonsense any more. LOL

LOL Please..... I clean up dog vomit with a paper towel and get down nice and close to scrub the carpet lol.... I pick up dog poop in a bag.... soon I will be cleaning baby puke and changing diapers full of some unnatural looking stuff lol.... having to pull a little bag with a bit of stuff in it out of something is going to be a daily occurance to me lol.

I've had 3 kids to clean up after, plus all the cats and dogs. I also worked in a hospital lab where I got all kids of 'specimens' to test. What I got in the lab didn't bother me, and cleaning up after the animals, not too much either.

Sick kids, as they get older, isn't very pleasant to clean up after. I've never gotten used to that. I think every time one of them is throwing up, they want to sit in my lap non-stop, and I end up nauseated myself. I'm sure I'm coming down with the same thing, but I never do!

I get queezy when I see somewhere in public where someone has thrown up, and it would probably make me sick to have to pick up a bag or clean up something like that from unknown source. I don't know why it didn't bother me to get that kind of stuff in the hospital lab, though!

Wowza... I can see how you are po'ed. Well, I can see two sides here. Your friends did it... so they put your wipers up and stuffed something in the end of the exhaust. Yucky... but a harmless prank. And I think that is what people here are trying to say. If you got your car seriously damaged, keyed, etc... that's a different story. I would go nuts if someone I don't know would key or screw with my car. It is my property, I put money in it and everyone should respect it. Period.

But some friends playing a little prank on you? Relax and think of something funny to get them back :)

Fill their cars with balloons .!! Fun is fun , but I'm not one for malicious pranks . I've never done anything , but was at a wedding back in the '50s where they jacked up the decorated " get-away " car and put it high enough on blocks so the couple just spun their wheels . No harm done and a good send off !

Since no one bothers to edit their posts, I'll just double post.

You may be better served posting this on a car forum, where people actually understand the way this makes you feel. Heck I'd feel like someone just kicked my dog.

Hey, I have an idea, let's shave someone's dog of bleach their coat! No permenant damage done, so it's funny!
