How about a marbled background using grey, green and black/blue? Or something like that...what colors come to mind when you think Kansas and gunslinger?
(p.s.: I'm also in love with that Viner hand font that I used for the "under construction" sign..hint hint)
in design class they not only taught us what color set off the other..the red-green
blue-yellow orange-purple thing..but also that torn or jagged edge next to smooth..any contrast is pleasing to the eye don't know if that is any use or not.but thought i would toss it in.
