...And I am sure you all thought it was a new dog
I thought I would post pictures of my new mare. She is a registered Appaloosa, but she has almost all QH breeding(sire is a QH, dam is 1/2 QH 1/2 Appy...and continues to go on from there). She is 9 years old, and has not done much the last few years as she had two foals.
She has ROMs in Western Pleasure, Open Youth and Master's, Non-Pro, as well as Hunter in Hand, and Youth Halter Mares. The barn she has been at for the last 6 years is getting out of Appy's and focusing more on Quarter horses now...so she was a steal of a deal.
She needs to be brought back to work, but she has absolutely gorgeous movement. Very elegant to watch.
She left from Wisconsin on Sunday night, and arrived this morning at 4:30. Once she settles(I think that happened fairly quickly), I am planning on boarding her at my trainer's to get her show fit again.
Anyway, here she is. The pictures do not do her justice. She has the sweetest personality, and seems to be quite level headed.
Here is a short video of her undersaddle recently. Don't mind the broodmare belly! She has barely been ridden since having her babies(beyond being pulled for lessons here and there).
