Do let us know if we can do anything.
I'm not in the best shape but wanted to stop in and say thanks for the support, so many people, well meaning, are saying "It could have been worse" or "at least no one was hurt" yes, logically I know that... But..... Right now it feels pretty **** bad...
It's nice to know no one here will judge me for my barley functioning state from losing just "pets"
On top of that today we got the full out "Criminal" treatment, interviewed separately and questioned like we were lying, it was horrific... In the end though they are torn on cause but suspect smoldering wires between the upper and lower house in the floor... That's an area that was worked on during our renovations... The long and short is we were totally absolved of any responsibility but getting there was hell on wheels and once I just looked at one CSI type and yelled that if I really wanted to burn my house down Id have **** sure made sure I didn't leave my heart and soul in there!!! And I wouldn't have called 911!!
I understand that they had to investigate I mean, we had not signed off on the prior fire yet as there was still minor repairs to be done to the basement, I get that, but wow it was harsh...
I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through this again....
On a positive note Jenn and Matt's dogs did make it, though their cat did not...
Here's a picture of the very nice young volunteer fire fighter who found Moose and brought him out to the Fire Chief...
On that note I'll likely take a time out, this deals not settling on me that well, and I need time to deal... We are all ok as we can be, and the material things will be dealt with... The rest... I just don't know how to handle, and need time to sort that out...
ETA it's things like this that bother me
I know technically they are right no "One" was hurt... Physically... But though they made mention of saving Moose, no mention of our heart being ripped out... But maybe I'm super sensitive right now...
