Brawt LOVES his toys - and they help keep him out of thouble. :) What are some good toys that your dogs like? Brawt will NOT play with anything that is really hard, he loves squeaky, but I'd like to try something else. It seems the only ones he will play with are the soft toys, but it doesn't take him long to 'wear' them out.

Thanks!

I have the same problem with Zeus. He likes soft toys, but disembowels the poor things within moments.

I find these super-tough squeaky toys are the best for him. I think they're made of a very tough nylon fabric instead of plastic or cloth. They're soft, but he can't rip them apart. They usually last him at least a couple of months.

I saw those the other day when I was shopping for Brawt a new toy. I think Brawt would do good with the type of toy that works his mind....he is so smart(when he wants to be) ;)

Well I am sure everyone is tired of hearing about this but my Chloe has this duck that quacks that she loves. I have never seen a dog love a toy so much. Here is a link to it http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441809961&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302026213&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689&bmUID=1140581543292 but it is a soft plush toy so I dont know how long it would last.
I think I bought him one of those for Christmas, and threw it away by New Years....

He will play with the 'soft' latex squeek toys, but are they safe? I'm kinda worried about giving him those - if he decides to destroy it.

I gave Otto a plush toy a couple days ago, he layed down with it, I walked out to the mailbox and back and the poor little bear no longer had arms or legs. Dr. Otto apparently loves amputations.

I get the Orbee Tuff toys from www.planetdog.com

They are made from a flexible rubber substance but hold up better than any toy I've every bought. So far in over a year, not one has been destroyed.

What Barb said! The Orbee stuff is great . . . none destroyed at our house either, and they're soft and squishy enough that Shiva and Kharma just love them. (Bimmer doesn't "do" toys; he's very serious most of the time.)

Skye loves balls 0n string but she loves ripping things apart you could try a light plastic frisbe. we have one with a whole in it so you can play tug o war as well as throwing it. Is he teething yet or soon?? you could try teething keys they are good to chew on but they are (around by me) a bit expensive. If your dog likes soft toys so much next time ther is a craft fair, car boot sale near you buy some cheap ones, you can get them for pennies!!!

Definitely try the Orbee toys! In Dakota's lifetime he has only damaged one orbee bone, and that one even managed to last about 9-10 months with daily hard chewing. The orbee balls are great, too, just don't leave them outside in the sun like I did. I accidentally left one of Dakota's outside one day, came out the next morning to find the ball shaped more like a frisbee than anything. Dakota loves it even more now, he knows it as his "pancake" and it's his favorite chew toy.

Although kong toys are quite hard, your dog might enjoy playing with them ifyou stuff them with cheese and kong paste. They are very tough so shouldnt be destroyed. Maybe worth a try?

Yes, that is my little Kai. We have a red male as well named Brawt - I think I've posted some pictures of him here.
