I just wanted to share with you all this story that happened to me a few nights ago and to remind all you women to PLEASE be careful if you walk your dog out at night!
I came home late last night from work (around eleven or twelve) and I decided I would take Lily out for a quick nightly walk. I was only out of my house and down the street (about five houses away) when this guy in a red truck pulled up beside me. He rolled down his window and asked me if I knew where this one adress was (that happened to be one of my neighbors that lived just two houses from me.) I told him "No" and began walking faster. He then opened up car door and said "Hey lady! Don't just walk away from me!!" I then stopped and pulled Lily out from behind me. (he obviously didn't see her.) I tightened her leash and let her see the guy who was bothering me. (I found out a few days before that if I tighten her leash or grab her by the collar or just say 'Be nice' Her hackles will go up and she will growel or show her teeth) Her hackles went up and she just kinda stood between me and him (He was only a few feet away) the man cursed, jumped back into his car and sped away. I was SO scared I started crying. I thought my neighborhood was so safe, but I guess I was wrong. Ladies please please please be careful if your walking with your dog at night(or alone!). I know that if I didn't have Lily there with me something bad could have happened! SO once again, no matter how safe your neighborhood is, please be safe.
