personally i couldnt do it...
to me sex is something more than just a quick thrill and something i can only share with someone i truly care about...
that personal system has absolutly nothing to do with how i was raised, my family is very open about sex, secuality and other such things...they taught me of the dangers and the importance of waiting untill i was sure i was ready, beyond that there was no "sex is bad" and "only with the man you want to marry" ect.

but still to me, while the appeal of that kind of money definatly makes me HMMMMM....
i dont think i could offer my body to a stranger, i think i just feel too vunerable in that state lol.

i also cant stand women who use sex as a tool to manipulate people or because they think itll make guys like them more (same goes for guys who think their friends will think their cool for it)

but a woman who has made the educated desicion to persue porn or legal prostitution as a career, and do so SAFELY (with frequent std testing saftey mesures ect) i realy cant knock...she makes more than all my family put together in a single hour...hard to fault her for that lol.

the bunny ranch in nevada is another famous one, the girls all seem to truly enjoy working there, they feel safe and protected these places have strong security and girls have the right to refuse a client.
I'd rather places like that exist so these women can be safe at the very least than wandering the streets sleeping with god knows who and terrified of some pimp...

personally i dont think it shoudl be illegal, i think if prostitution were legal and more places like this existed the prostitues of the world would be much safer...
but i would be kind of jealous that there making that kind of money and i cant get beyond my own emotional ties lol

and the reason that both of those is not legal everywhere in the US is because they can't figure out how to regulate it enough so that people aren't doing it under the table (no pun intended) since it would be such an easy thing to do under the radar.
I'm fairly sure it's still illegal because it'd pretty much be political suicide to openly support a bill legalizing prostitution, and in a lot of places the same for pot, although that is slowly changing.

As for people 'doing it under the table', no, there's no way of keeping people from doing that, other than offering a safer way to do so. Granted that some people will continue doing so, but if you're at least making it safer for a good number of people, how is that not to the benefit of everyone?

it just goes to show that something is legal does not necessarily means it's right.

By the same token, just because something is illegal doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong.

sex worker programs seem to work other places. I have no issue with it. The women on the street are the ones in danger...not this woman. If they could work in houses where they are inspected and regulated as to customer load etc pardon the pun...they'd be a lot safer. Men too...since male prositution is also a big business here in the USA.

Many in the sex trade DO have lowered self worth or come from abusive homes...but certainly not all do...and not all are flawed people. Regulating it out openly seems like a solution worth exploring...but America is very sexually repressed...so...I won't hold my breath.

If someone wants to have sex with the camera running, then sell the outcome, pardon the pun once again, and get paid it is legal so long as they jump thru a few hoops...if they want to do the same without a camera it is illegal...that makes no sense.

BTW as a mother if my daughter were to want to do this...I would attempt to dissuade her with every fibre of my being...and that may be hypocritical...but if my attempts fail at least she would not be doing something that will land her in prison. She'd simply have a job that would not be my choice....ditto on my son as well.

I see nothing wrong at all with prostitution, as long as the woman is smart about it.

To tell someone it is wrong to have consensual sex with someone as an adult, and accept the money that person gives them, to me, is absurd.
Especially when a woman can be a Dominatrix and be paid for it, and it is perfectly acceptable.

It is your body. You can do with it what you want, as long as you are not hurting others.

I dont like it when people say that pot is only a plant so its not a drug. Sorry, but that just is not true. It IS a drug and it does have dangers. You cant overdose and die or anything like that, but you are risking your health. It can cause lung cancer which my father died of when he was only 44. He was a long time pot and cig smoker and payed for it with his life.

I've done it before and I personally do not like it. It just makes me nauseous and feeling crappy.
Many people elude the risk of lung and mouth cancer by ingesting it instead.
Even taking Marinol.

On the topic of smoking, I smoke my pipe and cigars because I like the taste and smell of it... I also highly doubt that it'll give me cancer in the small quantities that I smoke them.

Many college students here in my area work in brothels (They are legal), because many don't know how else to earn money AND go to school. I know a girl who started out with telephon sex, and then turned to the real thing - she earns alot of money.

On a personal level, I don't think I could ever do it. To me its something sacred, that should only be shared between you and your loved one. Then again, I have a roof over my head and don't have to pay for college and live off my money. The world looks so different if you don't have anything.

I'd rather have borthels legalized, because there will always be prostitution, we are kidding ourselves if we say that if we make it illegal, it will stop. Make it legal, and they have more options working in brothels where they tend to be safer than on the streets in the city waiting for anyone.

I've known many pot smokers and most have tried ingesting marijuana by putting it in brownies and cookies, but they all prefer to smoke it. lol.

As an aside, most Dominatrix's do not sleep with their clients. It's a very professional thing with very clear boundries.

It should be legal for the reasons mentioned earlier. The woman mentioned most likely has a very high sex drive with a healthy libido and sense of self. Good for her, I say! This world would have a lot fewer problems if there were more people like that.

Prostitution is degrading to women. It's not about one woman making a lot of money - the rest of the female population has to pay for the fact that men think they can treat women like a piece of meat, like a sex slave. It's really sad how low people will go to make some cash.

That's what I have to say. :)

While I don't exactly agree with prostitution, I do think it should be legal. It is their personal choices to make.

Our court systems have millions of other things to be dealing with other than sex between 2 consenting adults with an exchange of money.

the only men who would assume that they can treat women like sex slaves because somwhere, someone is having sex for cash are those who were raised with those values, or lack thereof. While it's not something I'd do, I don't find ti degrading to those who take part in it. What consenting adults do with their own bodies is their own business.

Not to mention, there are male prostitutes as well, and I don't see anyone suggesting that women are out there objectifying the male population

For anyone who thinks it IS degrading. Do you think that the men who go out and pay women for sex are degrading their bodies as well?

males prostitution is more common among the gay community than straight I would almost be willing to bet money on. That is a whole separate issue because the way men view sex gay OR straight is IMO on a fundamental level, different than the way women do.

For me real abuse and degradation comes when women feel the MUST submit to sex they do not want to avoid violence or emotional trauma...or simply because in their own mind's their value is tied to the man's opinion of them and thus to sex in some twisted way.

You DO see that sometimes in the pimp aspect...and that is to me wrong. A woman should work FOR HERSELF....and pay taxes on her earnings....no man or other woman or ANYONE should have jurisdiction over the woman's basic right to choose her sexual partners and well, the price they pay. Get rid of the pimps...sez I...and make it an independant contractor sort of deal. Tax it....tax the HE** out of it...just like any other vice like smoking or drinking. But keep the women safe and in control of their earnings.

BTW, There are women who would NEVER call themselves prostitutes that date men, or even MARRY them...because of what they materially get out of the relationship...that is not something I would do either...BUT goose and gander I suppose. Either sex could potentially "fall in love" and not care what if anything they get back in return emotionwise...as long as the illusion is kept intact.

Agreed.

There are dating websites for women to find men who are millionaires and for millionaires to find sexually appealing women. And then theres that tv show called Millionaire Match Maker. Its funny how the owner says that the women are looking for true love. Well then why do the men have to be millionaires??
