Well , sweet boy , you went to the Bridge today . You were kept as pick of the litter .... Bubba's son . After three years , babies came into the family and you were re-homed . Luckily to Nashnseger's neighbor so I could see you for three years and I had the pleasure of keeping you here when they went out of town . They loved you and you them ....even though you were only allowed in the kitchen area . When they moved , it was decided that you wouldn't fit in ....so I took you here until I could find your forever home . My friend Amy B in Bloomington had lost her beloved Lab and didn't think that any fuzzy could take his place.......until she met you . You two were a match made in Heaven !!! When you developed Cushing's , she went above and beyond for you and you returned with love that can't be put into words . When the stairs to her bedroom became too much ....she slept downstairs with you .....since January . She helped you outside ....she loved on you , but said tonight when she called , that the light went out in your eyes yesterday and she knew it was time . I know the last 2 years were the best of your 10 years with us . The love you so readily gave , was returned . Thank you , dear Kobe , for being a prime example of what your Golden breed is meant to be !!! Run free with your Daddy , Bubba , your Grandma I.B. , RJ , Eli , Bear etc etc and please greet me when I join you all . I loved you ! Grammy .

Oh Grammy, tears are rolling down my face. Although I never met Amy & Kobe, I knew how much love was shared between them. It's so hard to lose the ones we love. I know Kobe is going to watching over amy from doggie heaven with all the other goldens and our loved ones, too.
