Hi again folks!! So many regulars. 
Looks like I actually signed up in 2008...oh my word.
To answer some questions, I have myself a little Mexican street dog. He looks Red Heeler/whippet cross? Looks quite a bit like a Basenji actually. I've had him a week. He's a dear but a bit insecure. Not lots of stability since he was rescued. Loads of potential.
I can't recall who asked about Nova, but I only had her for a few months. She had scads of health problems and I was about to move overseas and she wouldn't have made it through quartantine. She was on daily, life-long meds for painful bone deformity and intestinal disease. She went back to the breeder and I made the decision not to purchase a purebred dogs again.
I live in Nanaimo now and I'm a psychiatric nurse. I bought myself a house this past summer and I'm just being a groovy girl, doing house renos and chilling with my dog, cat and great friends.
