Do I even need to answer this?

I highly doubt I will ever rescue again. After fostering a bit and obviously Rider, none of them seem to meet what I'm looking for. So most likely breeder dogs forever from here on out in the ACD fashion.

Kind of obvious, but we'll always have at least one, if not two, retired racing greyhounds. We've had five (two have passed) and although they've all been incredibly unique characters, there's just something about the breed that draws me. We've had other breeds over the years and I've loved them all, but I just feel a little more connected in some way to my hounds.

I will always have a Welsh or two. In so many ways they are the perfect dogs for me. I would take a dog who wasn't so hunty outside, but otherwise they are awesome. Enough energy to do stuff, but mellow in the house. Enough drive and biddability for dog sports but not too over the top to be a laid back family dog.

I would like to branch out into herding breeds, but I don't really see myself with a sporting dog that isn't a Welshie.

Don't think I have one of those breeds.
If Merlin's breeder stopped breeding I highly doubt I would pursue another aussie.

I will probably stick with adult rescues from here on out to be honest.

I don't have one yet! I would say Australian Shepherd, but I'd like to adopt/foster/puppy from a reputable breeder for a few different breeds first (namely GSD and Collie) before deciding on that.

Oddly enough if you'd asked me two years ago I would have said "well, certainly not a golden retriever." Now... The answer is a golden retriever. And a Tibetan spaniel. I can't wait to have another one.

I will always have a pit bull whether it's from a breeder for show or a rescue. APBTs are by far my favorite breed of dog.

I will always have an ACD, whether it is from a breeder or a rescue. That being said though, I also want to own other breeds (like a Koolie or a Stumpy), so that may change. But it probably won't.

I will always have a Border Collie and when I am old and decrepid I will take on retired working farm dogs and we can be old and decrepid together sitting on the porch :)

I will always have a sighthound. Whippet, Greyhound, Lurcher, Longdog, whatever. I don't care. I just love sighthounds!!

Ideally, I'd have a sighthound, molloser, and a terrier. There are many breeds I would like to experience though :)
