I could walk around the yard barefoot in safety.

My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated.

All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would be free of
hair.

When the doorbell rings, it wouldn't sound like a kennel.

When the doorbell rings, I could get to the door without wading through fuzzy bodies who beat me there.

I could sit on the couch and my bed the way I wanted, without taking into consideration how much space several fur bodies would need to get comfortable.

I would not have strange presents under my Christmas tree -- dog bones, stuffed animals, toys, treats nor would I have to explain to people why I wrap them.

I would have money....and no guilt to go on a real vacation.

I would not be on a first-name basis with 6 veterinarians, as I put their yet-unborn grandkids thru college.

The most used words in my vocabulary would not be: out, sit, down, come, no, stay, and leave him/her/it ALONE.

My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates or barriers.

My house would not look like a day care center, toys everywhere.

My pockets would not contain things like treats or an extra leash.

I would no longer have to spell the words B-A-L-L, F-R-I-S-B-E- E, W-A-L-K or T-R-E-A-T.

I would not have as many leaves INSIDE my house as outside.

I would not look strangely at people who think having ONE dog/cat ties them down too much.

I'd look forward to spring and the melting of snow instead of dreading mud season.

I would not have to answer the question "Why do you have so many dogs/animals? " from people who will never have the joy in their lives of knowing they are loved unconditionally by someone as close to an
angel as they will ever get.

How empty my life would be.

That was going to be my answer. I do love them, and they do add more to my life than I thought imaginable, but the vet bills are killing me right now! I knew I should have sucked it up and gone to vet school.

lol. i agree.

we have dirt all through our house constantly, the occasional dead rat outside the front door, i actually have a cat litter tray in MY BEDROOM now so when i lock panda in there at night i don't have to wake up to a bad smell. because if i don't keep him in my room he wakes my mum up three or four times wanting to either go inside or out.

we wouldn't get funny looks when we take them all for a walk at one time

we wouldn't each have our own furry shadow or furry pillow.

i WOULD have more room in my bed your right. last night i actually swapped sides with buster so the fan could reach him and he wouldn't have to sleep on the floor.

we wouldn't be moppin gthe floor everyday clean up the paw prints and i wouldnt be dragging my doona out everyday so buster is allowed on the carpet.

yes, my life would be empty. i personally think we could handle another couple later on. but not in this renter atm
