Jess, I had the EXACT same issues with Voodoo and Zeus. Don't panic, and don't get the blues just yet.

First of all, it doesn't sound like it was a serious scuffle. They stopped when you told them to, and that's good. As for Zydeco's screaming and yelping...don't be fooled. Voodoo does it whenever Zeus corrects him. It used to freak me out until one day I noticed that Zeus wasn't even touching Voodoo, yet Voodoo was screaming bloody murder.
Oh, now that is so true, Gempress! When Kharma was just a baby . . . ten or twelve weeks old, I was worried that Shiva might be too rough with her so I admonished Shiva to be gentle. I was standing at the sink one night and heard Kharma yelp, so - without turning around - I just told Shiva to chill and stop being a bully.

Well, a few seconds later, Kharma yelped again, this time followed by a long, drawn out dramatic wail. I turned around, ready to jump all over Shiva, and, lo and behold! Little Miss Kharma was on top of Shiva, happily gnawing on poor Shiva (who was being very gentle and not even resisting even though I know those puppy teeth hurt). Kharma was just wailing like she was being murdered by inches . . . just waiting for me to get after Shiva, who just gave me the saddest, most pitiful look . . .

So, they really are rotten little fakers sometimes, Jess. :D

hahahaha "zydeco" is getting owned, what kind of name is ZYDECO....chloe is ripping his head out because they hate eachother, return one of them get a new one, or if you cant handle having two dogs just keep one. simple as that, you are just letting them tear at eachother and one day one of them will get serously injured, that means u dont care for your dog, return one, if not both

Zydeco=a type of cajun music. I think it's a good name for a breed from Louisiana.

They are not "tear at eachother" or "ripping his head out". They're just two newly-introduced dogs having a minor scuffle--a puppy who needs to learn boundaries, and an adult dog who needs to learn how Jess expects her to handle the puppy. And it does not mean they hate each other. Almost everyone who's had more than one dog at once has had to deal with a disagreement at some point.

This can be solved with a little time and training. It's irresponsible to get rid of a dog over a fixable issue like this.
