Bax, yup she really does grin. and that little "punch" movement she's doing on the tree is one of her favorites to do to me when we're lounging on the couch browsing Chaz. She gives me a bunch of dog knuckles to the face.
Keri, I use a Nikon D70. The outdoor shots were taken with a Nikkor 70-300 zoom lens and the indoor shots with the Nikkor 50mm D. They don't make the D70 anymore but they do make the D70s, I believe. There are better cameras for less money now, though. I've had mine for a few years.
Eve looks more mature because of her "sideburns", the black fur on the side of her face is thickening and making her look more filled out. Same with Dash. Eve's also a tubbo lard right now at about 30lbs, she should lose 2 or so. She's been binge eating her kibble (since she was always so skinny, I gave her free access to kibble) since she's been PMSing. Guess it's like chocolate. But yeah, she's got more coat - partially because it's been cooler weather here, and partially because she's maturing. She'll may blow it all and be a complete smoothie after her heat - though her breeder thinks she might not. We'll see.
