I guess I have a fight ring in my back yard.

So I live out in the country. Middle of no were away from idiots right? Wrong! If you drive by our place and look down our lane you can see a bit of the yard. Now we dont have a fence yet so the beagle has to be tied up to her 60 foot tie out. Not ideal I know but its only temporary. So this lady drives by and sees tht emma is tied up and fighting for her life against a dobe. she calls the rcmp about my dog fighting ring. they come out and jazz buts the officer back into his car. well if...

I tie my dogs too. Not outside all day but Bandit is tied up outside right now because he is a tart and won't go potty if he thinks I am watching.

Both mine are currently on Tie-Out Lock-Down because there is a massive sized hole in my fence (probably created by one of them ahemConradahem) and it's either use the tie outs or lose the dogs. I pick Option A.*

Also LOL at people thinking beagle-on-dobie action signals a fighting ring!

*edited to add of course that being on their tie-outs is a 15-minutes-at-a-time supervised experience.

I have people slow down to watch if we're in the tennis courts or move away if we're at the park when my two start wrasslin' with each other. Seriously, it's a Lab and an Aussie, people...

ETA: BCMoff..those Victorian's just go FOREVER, don't they?? At this one boarding place I did a short stint at, there was a VB puppy, about 6 months old...she never quit. Ever. I had to crate her (it was cageless) quite often because she kept "playing" with the thinnest skinned dogs and making them look like torture victims.

Bailey LOL at Kena's random limb grabbing! Both mine do that. Their favorite "PWND!" move is to grab a hind leg and pull until the other falls over.

Anyone listening I'm sure would think I've got a pack of wild dogs in my yard. Marlowe just WILL NOT SHUT UP when he plays and because Conrad plays so rough, he gets THE COONHOUND ROOOOAAAAAAR really frequently. Ruff! Ruff! RRRRATRARARARARRARARAAAAAARRRGGHHHHH!!!!! It's really alarming.

HA Zoom, try explaining two Dobermans playing to strangers... Dobes play with their teeth! It looks like they're killing each other!

Didn't this happen to you before Jenn?

I seem to recall someone mentioning a similar situation a while back.

Was it you? and was it the same lady this time?

LMAO!

I get lots of weird looks when I play with Middie because we BOTH growl at each other. I sound like I'm on drugs, I'm sure, but he wags his tail and grins. His growls are pretty darn load, though.. and then he does that roaring noise.. it makes me fall over laughing sometimes. He's hilarious. But a few of my friends actually were worried and thought he was attacking me.

I'm suprised we havn't got complaints of an ACD fightingring here lol.
The amount of noise they make is just stupid, the other day they were playing, I was watching. And they were all just bouncing around each other for about 5 seconds not making contact but omg the noise that was still coming out of them sounded like they were killing each other lol.

My granparents came up and they started playing and we got asked about 8 times "are you SURE they're just playing?"

Doesn't that annoy the **** out of you? Milo does that. It's not a problem in my yard, actually i like it because he'll go all the way in the back corner and not poop all over the place. But if we're somewhere we've got to be on leash it's a nightmare. I mean, i let him in the bathroom with me. But i guess what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander, in his book.

I'm surprised nobody around our neighborhood thinks we fight Whisper and Hershey with his humongous growls... Thank goodness though! I'm sorry about what happened to everyone!

It is. Spanky will go anywhere. He doesn't care. Bandit is so darn shy though. He is walked off lead most of the time and I don't enjoy having to go hunt down his poop. I stepped right in his crap yesterday because he dug a small hole, pooped in it and covered it with leaves.
