Thanks for yalls concern!!
No problem. Just understand that no one is trying to bash you in any way. I know sometimes people feel that way, but it's just because people here genuinely care. We care about the dog's safety and your children's safety first and foremost.

Thats an ex pig for you :p
lol jk. ihave much respect those who 'protect and serve'
Just not the rude ones who let it go to their heads..
To me there is nothing worse than a bored cop (except the rogue one but that's a given)

Anyhow, I keep bringing my dog up because it sounds so similar. Gabbi had no real training when I got her and didn't find my trainer til after she was a year old. We start out with treats to get her focused and then we progress to the ball. Both have high ball drive and would rather have the ball over a treat. I use the natrual balance roll or when i think about it I cook some ground turkey or chicken in a ns fry pan and bake it for 30 min and let it cool and cut it up in the fridge and treats no dog should turn down. I don't see starting to treat train an issue. What ever works for you and her.

Oh and I found Biz on craigslist. Unbeknownst to me the breeder works with the schutzhund club and kennel where our dept gets the dogs from, so they knew her quite well. Biz isn't working dog material and she needed to place him in a pet home. He's the sweetest most handsome dog. (a tad biased here)

Ahhh... Pfui. Okay. Gotcha. But it's more of a very sharp "f", not the a long, softer f you hear in Foo Fighter, for example.

It is also only one syllable, not two like 'fooey'. I also would not allow my child between two strange dogs, but my five year old and eight year old like to use my hounds as floor pillows for reading and napping. The dogs think it's part of their job, they wash the kids hands, feet and ears for them while they are conveniently within reach. But then, these are laid back hounds.
