I got a picture of the dogs...TOGETHER! I can NEVER get them to sit still for more than three seconds when they are together and today I got them to sit still and NOT look like they were being abused. These are my girls, the two four legged loves of my life. They are starting to tolerate each other now, atleast I think they are, quite well. Lily is going in for a trim job pretty soon (and she's actually going to a professional this time).

Lily is the curly-Q, she is our little princess. I took this picture a few days ago and just came back across it today so ofcourse had to put it on photobucket and post it because I may never see them this well behaved looking agian.

Its hard to make dogs sit still side by side long enough to take a pic isnt it. Adrienne's hard to take pics of except when she's sleeping. As soon as you kneel down with the cam she likes to come see what your doing.. lol

If I could write a caption for this pic, here's what it would say:

"Shh! She's looking this way! Quick, look innocent...."

wow, your dog's coat is very shiny! what shampoo or food are they on?
Right now I just wash them with Jeffweberspet 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. I bought it from the groomers awhile back, but I see they sell it at petco (or atleast around by me they do). The are eating Eagle pack holistic select chicken formula now. She gets daily brushing and we use the doggy wipes on her coat every couple days between baths to keep her smelling good.

Yeah that's about right. That's exactly the way that those two think.

Thats a cute picture. It sure isnt easy to get them to pose nice. Try doing it with a 1 1/2 year old child with the dogs! Now thats really tricky. We got one but they were spread to far apart. You did a great job, I agree, frame it.

I decided to get a poodle a long time ago, before we got any of our dogs. My husband is definetely not one for dog fur all over the place and drool and all the stuff that goes along with dogs. So I told him that I wanted a standard poodle (it started off as a joke because I know he hates poodles) and I kept telling him how smart they are and they don't shed. Well he said no and kept saying no until he figured out just how good a non-shedding dog might be. So he said we could "look into" getting a poodle. Next thing I know he's all excited coming home from work telling me there is a woman that a friend of his knows that breeds standards and has a black female (I wanted a black female) and that he wants to go see it. Well this woman lived in Iowa so I knew if we just went to look we'd have to buy it so I had her email me pictures and I loved her so we bought her. She is definetely a little princess though because she thinks she can do whatever she wants whenever she wants to do it but I'm really working hard with her and it seems to be paying off. My husband loves her now too, incase you were wondering.

Oh, I've tried it. My daughter is the same age and I actually got a really good picture of her and Hannah together but the only problem is it's almost impossible to see Hannah (just the glowing of her eyes).

Now you get to join the league of people that work harder then those that work because now everyone knows you are accessible..who would take Hyia to the dentist and my mother to the bank and aAron to school..and Mypy to the what ever appt she has to have because Daniel is at work..and add a new baby to that i think you will find you work more then you ever did at work! At least that is the way it is for me. When Aaron was a baby i took a night job, the neighbor across the street watched my sleeping children for me..I use to walk into work and my boss would say "you ready to come to work? with a smile and i would laff and say what do you mean.."I JUST GOT OFF WORK>>YIPPEEE" sitting at a desk typing orders all night beat the heck out of chasing my two and the two that came over everyday to play plus the one i babysat starting a 5 am. I don't know now how i did it, but one way or the other the day fills up with one sort of project or another.

Julie, they're adorable!!! And I know what you mean about the abuse/beaten-look thing. My beloved lab Yogi, who passed, would always shut his eyes and look beaten in his pics. I'd always tell him, "Hammy, if you're gonna look beaten I might as well beat ya!" :p Just kiddin', of course;)

ETA: Come to think of it, Hunter's pics I have in all my siggys and av's show his eyes are closed, too!!!

Thanks! I like that smiley picture of him too.

Julie, are you going to keep Lily's coat short? Or are you going to let it grow out and give her a fancy clip?

I want to give her a silly poodle pom-pom clip atleast once. I don't think my husband will let me though:rolleyes: . The one condition I had to agree apon when we got her is that I would not get her cut with all the pom-poms and stuff.
