I've seen some functionally illiterate Nigerian scam emails but this one takes the cake. This nutcase actually created a Letterhead! ROFL. You gotta ask yourself, if these things are still circulating, there must be a sucker market still out there. But you would at least think by now their English translator would get it right after all these years. Check this one out.

That guy who did the Catch a Predator series on Dateline has one on net scammers. He actually met several of the Nigerian/African scammers. It was pretty interesting! The FBI I guess has tons and tons of reports on them so SOMEONE out there keeps falling for it lol.

Yeah, that was a good one, lol. I'm addicted to those "To Catch a..." shows with Chris Hansen.

Ever watch reruns of The Beverly Hillbillies?

The gist of nearly every episode is someone trying to swindle Jed out of his money with some scheme that's set up to look like Jed will be the beneficiary of Something for Nothing.

And the scheme fails each time because Jed is an honest man and doesn't want to take advantage of someone else.

He is saved from his own naivete by both his sense of right and wrong and by his lack of greed.

So, next time you're faced with a proposition that looks tempting and ridiculously advantageous, ask yourself if it passes the Jed Clampett Test. If everyone did that there wouldn't be any successful scams.

Oh ya, I have gotten those too
My brother used to work phone sales when he was just starting out, and you wouldn't believe how many people just give the CC # out over the phone to anyone who asks for it. I do NOT do that no matter WHAT company it is and what they say they want.......NOWAY.

It amazes me how many people that are saavy enough to operate an Ebay/Paypal account fall for the spoofs sent to them. I have recieved SO MANY of those and I always forward them on to ebay/paypal.

They always go something like this: Dear PayPal (or Ebay) member, Your account has been suspended. Please click the link below and follow directions to have your account reinstated.

1. Ebay and Paypal ALWAYS call you by your sign in, or REAL name
2. Ebay and Paypal TELL you right on their sight that they WILL NOT ask for personal info in an email

So why do people keep falling for that crap too?? I don't know.......sometimes I guess we just don't think longer than 2 seconds before we leap.

Along the same lines....you know the spam emails everyone gets about penis enlargement and sexual disfunction? I get like 20 a day. Are there people who actually respond to those and end up buying those products? I mean, there must be for them to keep sending them out. It baffles me.

Charley was complaining about getting those. I only remarked - in a quick voice "like you need to be a bigger dick." You shoulda seen him trying to decide if I'd really said what he thought he'd heard

Oh . . . .LOL! And even worse - there for awhile I was getting e-mails offering to let me buy some fake boobs and pay for them in installments :D

Those stupid scammers suck. My one local paper used to let you list pets for adoption free online but soooo many scammers started setting up fake ads that now you have to pay. And EVERYTIME I list a new foster dog on petfinder for like the first 3 or 4 days a get at least 5 scam emails a day.

Hello,
My name is Mrs .Maria Johnson.I am a dying woman who had decided to
donate what I have to you. I am 59 years old and was diagnosed for
cancer about 2 years ago, immediately after the death of my husband, who

had left me everything he worked for.I have been touched by God to
donate
from what I have inherited from my late husband to the you for the good

work of God,rather than allow my relatives to use my husband's hard
earned funds ungodly.I have asked God to forgive me all my sins and i
believe he has because He is a merciful God.
I will be going in for an operation, and i pray that i survive the
operation. I have decided to WILL/donate the sum of (Two
million five hundred thousand us dollars) to you for the good work of the
lord, and to help the motherless, less privileged and also for the
assistance
of the widows. At the moment I cannot take any telephone calls, due to
the fact that my relatives are around me and i have been restricted by
my doctor from taking telephone calls because i deserve all thee rest i

can get.Presently,I have informed my lawyer about my decision in
WILLING this fund to you.I wish you all the best and may the good Lord
bless you abundantly, and please use the funds well and always extend
the good work to others.
Kindly Contact my lawyer through this email address
([email protected])if you are interested in carrying out

this task, so that
he can arrange the release of the funds ($2,500,000.00) to you. My
lawyer's name is Barrister Richard Villar.I know I have never met you
but my mind tells me to do this, and i hope you act sincerely.
NB: I will appreciate your ultmost confidentiality in this matter until

the task is complished,as I don't want anything that will Jeopardize my

last wish, due to the fact that i do not want relatives or family
members standing in the way of my last wish.
Thank you and God bless you.
Maria Johnson
