to do 4 large loads of laundry? Just curious on who procrastinates and who just does it. I myself never have four large loads because I always do a load everyday, or every other day at the latest. I wash, dry, and put it away immediately!

I usually just do 1-2 small loads of laundry at a time, as well. I'm guessing it would take about 8-10 hours to do 4 loads... between washing, drying, and folding.

Takes me 3 hours to do one load, so we're looking at the better part of a day lol.

Most like it wouldn't get done if I had to do laundry for that long and just sit there until I have to rely on the sniff test for too long.

Tis why I do my laundry fairly regularily (costs a bunch of quarters though).

An hour. I go to the laundromat and do it all at once. We have a machine at home but have to haul water. It's just a big waste. Saves on time this way too

A long time! 25 minutes wash per load, then 90 minutes drying... which reminds me I need to run a load or two...

I'm like you, Julie. I never let it build up cause I hate to do it. it's easier to do that load a day and be finished. :)

I've got a washer and dryer at home so it doesn't really take me any time at all. I just go off and do something else while it's doing whatever

Usually when we do four loads it takes about an hour a load, so atleast four hours. We wash, dry then put away immediately too.

Longer than it should take. Sometimes I have to rewash clothes over and over again just because I end up forgetting they're in the washer.. but if they make it safely into the dryer I rarely forget about them. ;)
I've been doing my laundry since I was 7. . .it gets repetitive but it's not too bad..I just have a lot of anxiety and with that drifts my memory.

when i'm at home, i just do it continuosly throughout the day...not a hassle at all, especially since my washing machine cycle is like an hour and 10 mins long or something.

Here at school...i dont do it. haha, i have to walk like 50 feet to the other side of the apt complex, outside...and its FREEZING.

i actually JUST put my first load in 10 mins ago...before that, i hadnt done any laundry here in months. Just wanted to point out...i go home to do my laundry...lol, im not that gross, haha,. I just ran outta socks :(

Oh yeah, this is right up my alley because I am laundry obsessed!!

There are five of us. My boys play all kinds of sports and my husband is a firefighter and a chimney sweep - I do laundry in my sleep - LITERALLY!! Last thing I do before I go to bed and first thing I do upon waking in the morning. I do the major no no and leave on the washer and dryer when I run out too. It's going ALL of the time....

I'd say 4 loads would take about 4 hours if you stayed on top of it and switched them as soon as they were done. But who does that, don't we usually do other stuff in between? I'm not usually at the washer or dryer as soon as it is done.

I'm laundry obsessed too, I think. If I am bored I will actually LOOK for stuff to wash! I do one load in the evening and that's a full load and that's it just one load a day it's done in about 2 hours (our dryer here sucks) and then it's folded and put away in about 15-20 minutes.

At least 4 hours.............I have 7 people in our house and I am forever more doing laundry :( We have big load capacity washer & dryer, the washer only takes 35 minutes but the dryer can take as long as 50-60 minutes depending on the clothes........ie..jeans or towels etc...

Oh, I would like to say that I DO NOT fold and put away clothes for my teenagers!! They bring down their own baskets, I wash & dry...then they take back their own baskets to hang & put away.............I am only one person :yikes:

I am this way too:yikes: I am constantly doing laundry (there is only my fiancee and I, though, which makes it easier at least).
