I don't have a spouse, just a SO. I voted that he's just there to fill my sexual needs. What else are men good for? :p

Honestly, he's my best friend. I see him every day and don't feel like I need to kill him, which would generally be my feelings toward anyone else. I'm a bit of a loner and tend to want my space, but I feel the exact opposite with him.

Uh...PW...I like you and all, but totally as a friend. Plus, Tedward doesn't share so well. :rofl1:
Well if you are going to be like *that* I will fulfill my needs (and spend my money) elsewhere!!

:p

And yes, I only have an SO, not a spouse, but I figure you guys know me well enough to know that, lol.

I wish I could say that he is my best friend- he used to be and I hope he will be again some day. Lately, we have been fighting too much and it seems as if he likes to spend more time telling me everything I am doing wrong than acknowledging what he likes about me and what I do. F'ing 7th year.

Still.... it is just a rough patch and I know it will get better.

I didn't see a "roomie" option, but that probably best describes us. We're friends, but I wouldn't say he's my best friend. There are parts of me that I don't reveal to him, that my 2 best girl friends know. There are things that I love and am passionate about, and he doesn't like it or care anything about it therefore it means those things mean nothing and have no place in this existence.

We get along most of the time.. We're comfortable. But it's no fairy tale ending. But I'm not sure I believe in those anymore anyway.

Oh, and we've been together for almost 12 years....married for 6 1/2.

I chose friend but I'm in the same camp as Coop. He's my best friend, my lover, my partner in crime, my rock etc etc.

When I crumble he's there to hold me together... except today of course, last day of archery but I am having a craptastic day and wish he was here lol.

I'd rather spend time with him than anyone else in the whole world (except Hannah.. and my mom is up there too lol).

Ok done with the mushy stuff. lol

This is pretty much how I feel about Nate. He can be rather frustrating at times I'll admit, but the truth is that the man loves me in a way that I never imagined being loved in my wildest dreams.

So I was at a party and some girl and her boyfriend were having an **OMG EPIC PUBLIC COUPLE BATTLE BREAKUP**

and the guy was like "So what am I to you??!!"

and she screams "SHUT UP! YOU ARE JUST A VIBRATOR WITH A PULSE!!"

.. lol it was an epicly awful public moment. and it reminded me of this thread.

It will. We have gone through periods like that. Sometimes it seems like DH can make a sport out of pointing out my faults.

I voted best friend.

I have never been closer to another human being, ever.

We often joke that I am the female version of him and vice versa.

Ugh...now I really miss my DH. :(

My spouse/boyfriend is my best, most important friend and being in my life. He understands me better than I understand myself sometimes. When I'm impatient, he's calm. When I want to cry, he makes me laugh. When people in my life upset me or give me reason to stop trying, he gives me reason to still try. He's a better person than anyone I know. He wants to be friends with family in my life who refuse to even meet him because he has THAT big of a heart. He's my everything.

Thanks, guys :) We had some really great conversations about our negative dynamic over the weekend and finally managed to spend some quality time together.

I hope things get better for you both as well. That's great that you're talking and spending time together.
