How do you remove the dog hair???

All right, I give up. I've tried lint brushes, vaccuum cleaners, etc. Yet still, Zeus' Invincible Hair of Doom insists on clinging to my couches. I can get off about 90% of it when I vaccuum, but some of that short hound hair stays snagged in the fabric, almost like odd burrs.

What does everyone else use?

Or should I just start decorating everything in creamy brown/beige?

Try some duct tape wrapped arround your hand (sticky side out).
The hair should stick to the tape.

Sorry, but that made me laugh. My furniture is leather so I am ok there. But, I do seem to wash a lot. I keep a sheet on the bed to catch as much Brutus hair as possible. I have to wash it at least twice a week. And I use a sticky lint roller in between washings.
I was thinking, I had a cat years ago that let me vacuum her with a small vacuum. I wonder if the dogs would mind? I do have a small green carpet machine. I could wash and vacuum them at the same time.
Hmmmmmmm I must think about this.

I have all my furniture in brown colors, my floor id grey/brown and my walls are painted beige

Yes a sticky lint Roller is what I use lol And I am in the same boat as you Gempress. That short hound hair just sticks right into the fabric. i think it grows barbs once its in the furniture so you can't get it out

Leather couch here too, but for the carpet I bought this rubber rake thing that really works well. Well, you rake the dickens out of the carpet and it all piles up into this gross huge dustbunny creature that you can vacuum up. It came with a hand brush thing that works almost passably in the truck. I've found it's actually easier to keep a nice blanket sealed in a bag in the trunk. If "company" is going to be in there, I just throw the blanket over the seats and tuck it in to make it look like it's always there.

i gave up on cloth sofas decades ago..plastic lookalike leather is as close as i am going to get..better for my allergies anyway.

My grandma uses the carpet powder that has the pet hair release and puts it on the couch for a half an hour and it all comes right out with a vacuum (she has white couches with a male rott that thinks all 100+ pounds of him is a lap dog (the couches at home are about the same color as the dogs)lol

The dogs don't get on the furniture, but the rubber rake thing that Meggie mentioned works great for carpet. It gets a whole lot of hair that the vaccum misses. I would imagine you could use it on furniture too, but have not tried it.

The rubber rake thing is one of those, "as seen on tv" products.......but it does work rather nicely.

Just use lots of short hard strokes, not long ones, and the hair is just pulled out.

I use a large lint roller. It seems to work better than anything else.

Get one of those cheap grill " sponges" .... those rough things... work great . Also, a good sponge , wet and wrung out. Vaccuuming does nothing here with the lab hairs. I've found these work better than the tapes even.

Now that one, I will remember. Mohair. Very expensive, and excellent taste.
