She has been to the vet and there is nothing wrong with her. She doesn't appear to haqve any pain and her bleeding is no more than our other girls.

She was just not herself and feeling very unhappy. It is hard to describe what she was like but if you knew her you would be able to tell that something was wrong. The Evening Primrose Oil has really helped her and when I can get her to lie there, the hot water bottle seemed to help as well.

norskgra, I think you have received alot of great ideas and I dont think there is just one right answer as you know from being a breeder that each dog is different and they will do things differently. I think that it is great that you stuck around. You will soon find that this forum is extrememly dog oriented and I think what saje was just trying to do is offer her advice. Look forward to having you here and your pups are just georgous.

I am very familiar with forums in general and dog forums in particular. Suggesting that I get my girl spayed was not help, especially when my avatar states that I am a breeder.

The problems that I am having with her do not matter now because I am leaving this forum and going to where I will get constructive help.
Personally am a breeder and if one of my girls were uncomfortable during their first season I would have it spayed. But my dogs are working dogs not show dogs.

I am not a BYB. I am a registered breeder with the Australian National Kennel Council.

People should not just jump to conclusions.
Your jumping to conclusions I gurantee you any dog forum you go to some one is going to suggest spaying her and you will jump all over them and it will be here all over again. And I also promise you wil run into people questioning your breeding ethics. I even do and have had to prove myself over and over. But I keep a level head and try not to get childish.

Who is being childish now? You appear to have no idea what you are talking about.

If this is how you reply to people, no wonder norskgra left. I don't blame them!

I am a member of other dog forums and I have never seen people reply like this.

I agree that you shouldn't have to spay her. many humans get horrid pains from their time of the month yet you don't see them running off and gettign spayed. and you say that she isn't even in pain just a bit uncomfortable. I get depressed when it's my time of the month and mine don't even hurt and are fairly mild compareds to a lot of people. Just do what you can to make her comforteable and she should be fine.
