I was in town. As I was driving down the main road, I could hear a siren of some kind coming up behind me. It was the oddest-sounding siren I ever heard. I kept looking all around me, trying to figure out what kind of emergency vehicle it was. I couldn't see an emergency vehicle anywhere. I was slowing down, debating whether or not I should pull over to the side or not. The surrounding cars also seemed to be kinda confused as to what to do.

Then I saw it as it went past me in the other lane.

It was a pickup. Fastened in the bed of the pickup was a dog crate. In the dog crate was an extremely happy bloodhound, obviously thrilled at going for a ride in the truck, and sounding off in full voice:

BAWWWOOOOWOOOOROOOAAAAAAOOOOOO!!!!

ALL the way down the road.

:rofl1: :rofl1: :rofl1: :rofl1: :rofl1:

I laughed so hard I got tears in my eyes. I swear the truck's driver was hunched down as low behind the wheel as possible, and she looked as if she wanted to die of embarrassment. I wish I had had a camera, LOL.

I read this outloud to my Mama this morning on the phone. It's just priceless. IT also brings back the memory of my Bronki paying homage to the great dog god in the sky with his baratone voice when the storm siren went off. My late So use to say "you ought to put that dog in opera". They can be incredible. I can't hear a storm siren even now 9 years later without hearing Bronki and in my mind seeing his muzzle point at the sky.
